「Mystic River Resort feels like you are staying in the Congo with an amazing staff, food, drinks, and rooms. The rooms do not have AC so we recommend staying here in the winter/spring unless you are used to the humid heat. The excursions available all around are awesome! And the food/drinks within town are amazing and CHEAP! We will definitely be back to the resort in the winter for a cooler experience as we see more temples.」

「We spent our honeymoon here and loved it. There is beautiful hikes, pool, river, and Mountain View’s everywhere you look. We arrived late and they left us flowers in our room. We only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was amazing! Already planning when we can go back. Beautiful location, friendly staff and surrounded by nature. We did the horseback riding tour with Cesar and really enjoyed it, all the horses were super well behaved and riding through the mountains was a dream come true.」

「An amazing experience! Abdiel, Rita, Ragner, and so many others took such good care of us. Such genuine people at a beautiful resort. Food was great! If you are up early enough you will see a wide variety of birds at breakfast. We even saw a few howler moneys in the evening! We did the ATM tour and appreciated the deep compassion and respect our guide (Ben) had for the history of the archaeological site. We'll be back!」

「The good- The Cooling Rack restaurant has two of the best meals we had in Belize - Crispy Pineapple Jerk Chicken (not the one served in the pineapple) and the Chaya Maya Pasta were phenomenal. The pools were great to cool down in and there was space for everyone. It’s a nice location with good views and a cute atmosphere. 「My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone! 」
