Room was spotless and the staff were very polite and went out of their way to help whenever possible. Breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of different cuisines. Location is on the Bund and it doesn’t get better than that. Many shopping malls nearby and historic attractions are just a short walk away. Besides its rich cultural heritage and history, I highly recommend staying here for its convenience and excellent service.

I guess the front desk staff can be more friendly and helpful. And hard to reach the concierge from room. You won’t get to see full the bund view if staying at lower floor. So just take note .

We highly recommend couples to stay at the Waldorf Astoria. Our room was stunning — beautifully designed, spotless, high-tech, and incredibly comfortable. The bed, especially, gave us some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling.
The staff also thoughtfully prepared a cake for us, and their service throughout our stay was impeccable. From the moment you step into the hotel, you’re greeted with a warm Christmas cinnamon-roll scent that fills the entire space — it instantly made us feel cozy and at home (we stayed during the Christmas season).
It was truly a memorable and romantic experience from start to finish.
