My second trip to Miyako Island This hotel is PERFET Price location comfortable rooms great staff I will return in October for 8 more nights

The property was beautiful, but a bit rundown. The accommodations are old. The staff is very nice, but not super accommodating, at least for American standards. The property requires some updates.

Staff here were amazing in their single minded focus on service.

Customer Service at The Shigira was exceptional. We could not have been happier with the level of care and attention that Miyu provided. She made sure that every need that we had was attended to, whether it be restaurant reservations, transportation, booking a boat, booking our nightly massages….we felt that she bent over backwards for us. We have stayed at many 5 star resorts around the world and The Shigira ranks up as one of the best experiences that we have had.
