First time staying at the westgate. There are a lot of issues with this hotel. First of which is the check in process. Took entirely too long and was unaware of the $100 deposit on top of the $150 resort fee. Gentleman at the front seemed nice enough so no issues there. Second, the room was disgusting, carpet wasn’t clean, the restroom was musty and the room was awkwardly warm? Like the AC was turned off so the room was sweating? It was the weirdest thing. It seemed like the ac was turned off right before we got there so the heat coming in from the window made the whole room feel wet. Also housekeeping did not come by the room a single time. The only positive was since we were in Vegas for a convention, we were almost never in the room. I think we were in there a total of 12 hours over 3 days. Casino was a casino, the tables were very affordable and fun. But PLEASE for the love of god, do not expect to get more than one drink an hour. The waitresses are SOOOOOO slow and you are not able to get more than one drink to account for the slow waitress. But from a purely gambling standpoint, the casino itself allows for multiple playstyles. Overall, if I had a choice, I wouldn’t stay here again. Only reason I know I’ll be back, is because I’m going back next year and this hotel is the closest and most affordable. Hopefully the hotel gets a facelift by then.

My husband and I loved our stay at the Venetian and were very impressed with the renovated room in the North Tower. The room was large, clean, and felt like a mini apartment. We loved having the separate living room and large bathroom, everything was very well-appointed. We had a room with a view of the Sphere which was cool to watch every day! The hotel has everything you need in terms of resturant variety, etc (every place we tried was great) and we spent quite a bit of our time just in the hotel itself. The hotel seems insanely large at first, and it is, but it was surprisingly easy to get comfortable with, and has tons to do. We booked one of the gondola rides as well which was cute to do! We will definitely rebook at the Venetian for our future Vegas visits, I loved our stay.

Unless the strip is what you *want*, this property is an excellent alternative. It has all the amenities you'd want. The pool is great. And, the staff is extremely nice and attentive. The payouts at the casino are better than the strip, too. Something to consider if you're a gambler. We only had two issue: (1) no coffee machine in the room. Not a *huge* issue, because the VIP room in the lobby offered free coffee. But, if you're looking for a cup when you wake up, you'll have to order room service; (2) the shower water was extremely hard and dried out my skin. I normally do not moisturize, but I found myself having to. Also, no wash clothes for the shower. Bring a loofah/sponge with you or you'll be using one of the hand towels.

My first room was fine, but I asked, and was moved to a Canyon view room on my second night. The staff was awesome accommodating the request. This is my third stay, and I will stay here anytime I have work in Vegas. The staff were awesome.

Loved our fountain view room and reasonable minimums on table games at certain times. Did not like that there was no seating for just a quick rest. Really needed for older adults. Wish there were more lower cost options for eating.
