Northeast Seattle Romantic Vacations

I really enjoyed this little hotel! It has its own unique character—simple, but with everything you need. The location is fantastic. There’s a comfortable little lobby where you can wait for your room, with plenty of places to charge your devices, a cozy couch, and bathroom access. There’s a pizza place right across the street, a convenience store nearby, and a plethora of restaurants within a short walk. The area felt safe. It’s Capitol Hill, so don’t expect complete silence at night—the neighborhood stays alive well into the evening—but the windows are well insulated, and the room has a sound machine. A real bonus is the secure luggage lockers. After checking out, you can safely store your luggage and still have access to the hotel until you’re ready to leave. Such a convenient touch! If I’m staying on Capitol Hill again, this will be my first choice. A great little boutique hotel with character, convenience, and everything you need.

This was our second visit to the State Hotel and it was just as wonderful as the first. It had everything we needed for our visit to Seattle: beautiful room, professional and friendly staff, and a rooftop with an amazing view. We’ll be back!

Restrooms smelt terrible, no vent in there which caused it to smell like mold & same for the closet a very mildew smell to it. There was no fridge in the room which was very inconvenient as well as no microwave. Having to pay for valet parking at a ridiculous price because they can’t afford to give their guest free parking. Unfortunately the stay was so terrible that we plan to never go to Seattle again or stay at any of the Hilton hotels from now on.

There are flees in the bed, got bites all over the body! Bought everything available breakfast $50 each person for two days, first day the restaurant opened at 8am, our tour started at 6:30am, no way to get the breakfast, the hotel refused to refund, not even credits for later! Asked me to call Expedia, Expedia said the hotel already charged the money, they couldn’t do anything! The second morning, both my husband and me ordered the breakfast totally worth $50, but the restaurant manager said we only could have classic American breakfast! The experience of staying in Kimpton was awful!!!👎👎And that was my anniversary trip! It was the worst experience of celebrating my anniversary ever!

The rooms are very basic - black and white. 2 out of the 4 staff were helpful. The one nice thing was the location. We had to leave very early when we checked out so a staff member suggested that we pre-order our breakfast. Well, it took 25 minutes for them to deliver the food so we could not eat or we would have missed our Lyft. Upon early checkout, the lady was pretty agitated when we questioned some unexpected RESORT/AMMENITY charges. Great location but will not return.
