Brilliant view, good functionality, and clean. A few features could be updated (shower & glass lampshade) but can't complain for the price. Pool was also a nice extra to have. Payment was a bit unusual but all worked out, and customer agents were proactive. Would recommend :)

I did like the unique pool in the complex. I had read prior reviews about the uphill walk to the chalet. I truly was a tough climb to get to the property so much so that once we walked down to town we didn’t plan on returning until we were settling in for the evening. The construction taking place on the street leading to the property made toting luggage a real challenge. We did find a couple of markets close by to buy some food for breakfast. Overall a very efficient apartments but be ready for an aggressive uphill walk returning from town. Zermatt was incredible and my wife and took in as many sights and activities that we possibly could in a three day stay.

Would not recommend this property for the following reasons: -Rude service. -Very late check in at 5pm and early check out at 10am. -Weird payment process where they request you send them a bank transfer and they refuse to charge your credit card on file with Expedia. -Rock hard beds - no one slept well. The appartment was nice and it had a fondue set. Overall, I think there must be better options in Zermatt.

This may be the single best view in all of Zermatt!! Unobstructed view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. Comfy place with the best shower ever!!! This place is a 10 out of 10!!

Eigentlich war der Aufenthalt angenehm. Da es keinen Kontakt mit Angestellten hat, ist es sehr ruhig. Wenn man von den Bauarbeiten neben an absieht. Zimmer ist schön gewesen und hat alles gehabt was man in einem Schweizer Urlaub zum kochen brauchen könnte. Das WLAN hat nicht Funktioniert. Mit offener Tür zum Treppenhaus, reichte es um Whaatsapp Nachrichten zu bekommen und ein YouTube Video auf 166 Qualität halbwegs zu gucken. Eine Katastrophe, wenn man teilweise auf Internet angewiesen ist, konnte nicht mal das Hotel anschreiben, kein Internet. Was mich ärgerte ist wie lieblos der Zustand insgesamt war. Spinnweben überall, kaputte Steckdosen Lampen etc. fühlte sich an als würde sich niemand um den Ort kümmern. (Ist ja auch niemand da) Liegt vielleicht an der Sommerpause, aber es müsste einfach mal überholt werden. Der Pool ist ganz schön, Hälfte der Lichter lassen es ein bischöflich Dunkel aussehen. Außerdem wenn man sich ein umweltbewusst ist, wird mit diesem Pool die hälfte der Schweiz beheizt. Oder zumindest mit der Luft darüber, die dafür sorgt, dass das gesamte Haus sehr sehr warm ist, das Wasser im Vergleich eher kühl. Insgesamt könnte sehr schön sein, muss aber überarbeitet werden. Das schönste an Aufenthalt war, dass wir alleine im Haus waren.

in die Jahre gekomme

Der steile Aufstieg zum Wohnhaus ist eine Zumutung und mit Skischuhen und Skiern runterzukommen eher schwer, wie man das bei Schnee macht, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Die Wohnung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und das Bild auf der Auftragsbestätigung nicht identisch mit der effektiven Wohnung. Der Abfalleimer im Badezimmer war noch prall gefüllt vom Vorgänger. Das Klappbett mit 1.40cm breite eher wackelig und durchgelegen. Der Innenpool war sehr kalt und hat nicht zum Schwimmen eingeladen. Die Terasse und der Blick aufs Matterhorn waren schön. In der Küche gab es einen kleinen Racletteofen und ein Fondue Geschirr, der Rest vom Geschirr ist auch sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wohnung war sehr ruhig, aber wir waren glaube ich jetzt auch die einzigen Gäste über Ostern.

Warm and comfortable - a hike from the village

This is a comfortable and warm apartment with excellent bedroom accommodation for six. It is situated in Winklematten quite a hill walk from the centre of town, with a very steep final path about 75 metres long, easy for our young and robust family (8 minutes from the town centre), but somewhat tough for me in my mid seventies. The main ski lift up to the glacier is about 10 minutes walk, involving some up and down - to be expected in a ski resort. The living area has soft seating for four adults - perhaps just enough for six people if two were children. The kitchen is reasonably well-appointed. There is a magnificent pool which one of our sons much enjoyed. There were some irritations. The bath in the master bathroom looks elegant if pretentious with gilding and gilded taps. Plumbing is more important, and the cold water supply to the bath was on several occasions an inadequate trickle involving a wait before you could take your bath. The apartment has been furnished in part from junk shops - the destitute long-case clock and ancient stove (for example.) A matter of taste. A certain lack of hospitality was evident for such an expensive place. For example the safe did not work (no batteries - bring your own); ditto the defunct clock controlled towel rail in the master bedroom. Also bring you own rubbish bags (no spares.) There is free internet which is a little slow; and also TV's etc. which we did not use. (No further space for comments allowed.)

Der Pool ist sehr schön und gross. Der innenraum des Zimmers war sehr dunkel und düster. Die elektrische Beleuchtung hat leider nicht alles funktioniert (Treppenhaus kein Licht und 2ter Schalter im Zimmer funktionierte nicht). Das war vorlalem bei Ankunft in der Nacht gefählich und man musste mit der Taschenlampe die Treppe hoch. Anonsten war das Preis Leistungsverhälstnis gut.

Es kann nicht direkt vor die Unterkunft gefahren werden. Man muss noch einen steilen Weg (ca. 100m) hinauf gehen. Das Wasser vom Pool ist 28° warm, da die Luft im Raum aber sehr heiss ist, fühlt sich das Wasser eher kühl an. Die Küche ist mit dem nötigsten für die ersten Tage ausgerüstet. Vor der Unterkunft stehen Bäume, welche die Sicht aufs Matterhorn stark einschränken.

Superb Chalet

The chalet was superb and well equipped for a large family to enjoy a week of skiing. The pantries and drawers well stocked with silverware and cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. A very large refrigerator to keep food cool and frozen. The location is tucked away up the hill with amazing view of the Matterhorn.
