"The biggest difference between Sunscapes and other resorts we’ve stayed at in the Hotel Zone is the food. The restaurants don’t take reservations, so it is easy to get into them. At peak times there may be a wait, but the food is so good in all of them that it’s worth it. Even the buffet has good food (yum, chilaquiles!). The main pool has a taco bar and plenty of people bringing drinks. The back pool has a hamburger and hotdog bar and drinks bar, but didn’t bring you drinks.
The only thing I wasn’t as thrilled with was the pools. The main pool facing the ocean (and sunshine) was the activity pool, with the constant loud music, aerobics classes, contests, and lots of kids….The other pool was quieter, but faced the street with its noise, was next to the children’s play area, so it also had lots of kids, and it is shady until the sun comes overhead more.
The ocean here is nice, usually not too rough to go in.
As in all the resorts, all the staff were excellent, hardworking, and friendly. Special mentions go to Fatima at the coffee bar for her beautiful coffee art and bashful smile, Jaime in the buffet for his extra attention to detail, and Juana for doing our room beautifully (different thoughtful little things every day) even though we didn’t leave her a tip until the end because we didn’t have enough smaller cash. 😔"
