"Breakfast is good. Lobby is updated. The room is outdated. "

"The reception is on the 14th floor. Staff are mixed with some very friendly and some indifferent and shouldn’t be working in hospitality. The cleanliness is fine although far too much bleach is used the problem is with state of the bedrooms with numerous (too many to count) stains on carpets and headboards. It’s quite frankly appalling for any hotel but especially one purporting to be of 4 stars. N.B. we’re not blaming the cleaners here but questioning the managements inability to check rooms. The team and hotel lack generosity and penny pinch at every opportunity. You are given a drinks voucher at check - please note this is for a half a small beer or a half measure 75ml of wine in a plastic cup. N.B. The hotel charges for changing of sheets. We also noted that the restaurant is doesn’t accept bookings for dinner but when you turn up all the tables/slots have been reserved. The standard of bathrooms and and bedding was average. Without question the worst hotel we’ve been too in years and certainly the worst in Japan. "

"The room we had initially stunk of stale cigarettes, we asked for it to be cleaned but it was no better , you could see the brown nicotine stains on the ceiling so we moved room , the beds were very hard but the room was a good size. Drinks in the bar were quite expensive. There was an “all day dining” facility which actually wasn’t all day at all !! Hotel was perfect location for the peace park etc "

"The property was very deceiving looked nice on the outisde but the rooms were definitely not up to date, old pink and green bathrooms. They also put us in a smoking room because there was no non smoking available. Also skip the "late nite snack" it's like a pudding jell-o. "

"I would recommend, and I would stay here again. The staff were excellent. Location is far from the train 25 minute walk, but central to everything else. The breakfast is excellent. To our surprise they had happy hour at 5:00 free drinks and light snacks. The room was a good size."
