"We stayed at CitizenM Pioneer Square for one night before departing on a cruise and were disappointed given the price. We arrived around 10:30 PM after a long flight from the East Coast. While key-card entry is understandable, we had to ring the doorbell multiple times and wait through repeated 30-second cycles before anyone let us in to check in. Not a great first impression after a full day of travel. We had reserved a high-floor room many months in advance but were assigned a 7th-floor room with a view of a brick wall. At over $300 per night, I expected our advance planning to matter. It felt as though room assignments were based more on check-in timing than reservation details. The room was very small. The king bed had access from only one side, meaning one person had to climb over the other to get up during the night. That may be acceptable for some travelers but was inconvenient for us as a couple. The electronic controls felt more gimmicky than practical. For example, there was no simple bathroom light switch; everything was controlled through a tablet. That's not ideal when one person is sleeping and the other wants to use the bathroom without lighting up the room. The motorized shades initially seemed like a nice feature, but after lowering the blackout shade, it would not go back up. Overall, we were disappointed in the value, convenience, and functionality. This hotel may work for solo travelers, but it was not a good fit for us and did not justify the price."

"This was my second stay at the Mediterranean Inn and both experiences were extremely pleasant. All the staff members were professional, smiling and helpful. I had multiple interactions with Kay and each time she exceeded my expectations. Rooms are clean, and I love that the Inn is located in a great location. Walking distance to local restaurants, supermarkets and space needle. next time I’m in Seattle, I will definitely stay here."

"The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Angel at the front desk who accommodated our early check in. Took advantage of the complimentary wine hour. We used the valet service and requested the EV charger. Unfortunately the car didn't get much charge overnight so it would be really nice if the hotel upgraded their chargers. Everything was really lovely."

"The hotel was fine for a one night stay before a cruise, it was clean and staff friendly. There was an upgrade going on in Lobby and the exec lounge was a conference room, but it’s going to get better with work finished. Bed was comfortable and room a good size, would stay again for future cruisers Only negative was lifts where quite slow"
