"Can't fault this place"

"Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which, after filling with water we discovered the jacuzzi didn't work. Also the shower head had black mould on it, something that could easily be cleaned. As for the shower, it was old and tired, with water pouring from the waterfall shower head and the handheld shower head simultaneously, and the rather small shower screen ensured a soaking wet bathroom floor. When we arrived back in the evening our room was cold, as the hotel decides when you can put your heating on. However the reception did provide a small electric heater for us. Lovely hotel in a nice location, however, we feel it's the little things that are noticeable, that can make a difference."

"The hotel was perfectly situated for catching the ferry in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good, both in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast."

"The room was dated, pillows awful and bed was not comfortable. I doubt I would stay again as the price did not reflect in the room standard. We attended a Wedding which was faultless, staff were fantastic and food excellent, shame about the room. "

"Newly refurbished. Excellent standard of room - mattress, bedding & pillows all good quality. Bathroom was plush and had an actual bath, which can be rare these days in a lot of hotels. Food offering also very good."

"Staff were really nice. The bathroom could do with a touch up of paint. Lovely view to the Harbour. Nice walk to the beach, shops and the train station. "

"Great start to the stay with excellent welcome from all at the front desk. Bags whisked up to the room while I was still checking in. Chaps at the door always had a smile and a welcome greeting. Room was tight but well maintained with a good view towards the golf course. bar was busy but efficient and I thought the food served there was very good."

"Everything was amazing, if I had to be a 'little critical', only to provide positive feedback, I'd say bedroom, (27) needs a wee freshen up , 'updated, looks slightly tired! But its constructive feedback not a minus...."
