「Generally ok. Hotel seemed low on resources. Check in closes after 6pm and no one on site; it felt deserted. That said, we were welcomed with very a friendly, informed, efficient front of house - coffee tea and water available. Apparently, the hotel has changed hands and has new management - no breakfast available. We complained - we were grateful for a generous refund. 「The property was very convenient to everything in Salem including the short walk to the commuter rail depot to Boston. Our room and the bathroom were very small, which was disappointing since we stayed there 5 nights. When we checked in I asked the desk attendant if we could get a bigger room and she told me I should have done this request with Expedia prior to checking in. I was ot happy with her attitude and unresponsiveness. In summary it is a great historic hotel and very convenient.」

「We stayed here 6/26 for 2 nights. Hotel was clean, rooms immaculate and we'll appointed. Staff from check in through checkout were attentive and accommodating. Hotel is a few block walk to Public Transportation (Subway-Transit Station) and a couple good Italian restaurants and bakery. Would not think of another place to stay when going again to Boston. No airport shuttle is only downside but flat rate cab was only $14 plus tip.」

「There was plenty of parking, which made my stay very convenient. It's about a 20-minute walk to downtown Salem, and I enjoyed being able to walk into town. I do think the room could have been cleaned a bit better, as the end tables hadn't been wiped down. 「We had a fantastic stay at the Marriott Peabody. The staff were exceptional and very friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. Our room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable with wonderful quality cotton sheets and super soft pillows, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making for a great night’s sleep. 「Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Easy to pay with app. Location is convenient for theaters and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. We therefore chose the least expensive room with a king bed as we were staying only 1 night...
