The only reason that I didn't give them four stars is that there was so much light on the front of the building that you could not sit on the chairs and see any stars. I assumed that a place called dark skies would have lights that are motion sensored or more dim so that you could take in the night ...

Great place to stay. Lodge rooms have a gorgeous view of the Dunes - - nothing manmade between you and the Dunes except 1 road. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. The main bed was very comfortable. The pullout bed was much less comfortable but it's OK for a kid. We stayed here ...
