「We liked everything about it but had problems at the dinner we ate there which we think were down to staff errors . The food service was very slow and our main course took 1 hour 30 mins from arrival . The manager did what she could by reducing the cost for us」

「What a suprise , I don’t think the this hotel was advertised well enough, a beautiful property in large well maintained grounds, friendly , polite staff, good breakfast and so clean, nowhere was overlooked, I will recommend and definitely come again.」

「位置就在海邊，可惜我們訂了海景房，但飯店有在施工，窗外都是鷹架很影響觀感，而且室內燈光太暗了。 但整體人員都很親切、服務很好。」

「Great for parking. Breakfast fantastic+. Clean room and all staff very welcoming. Couldn't fault anything.」

「Lovely little boutique hotel run by super friendly hosts. The rooms are quite something and the place is chock full of eccentric vintage finds, it has real character. We had a deep, luxurious bath in our room and the vintage glass bottle of bubble bath was a nice touch. We had the breakfast (veggie continental) one morning and it was delicious, lots of fresh little picky bits to eat and drink. It’s up on the cliffs with a lovely view of the abbey but still an easy walk into town. Just sad we...

「We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings」

「Absolutely wonderful place we loved every minute!」

「Amazing little place right in the heart of Whitby. Location is perfect, very clean and very quiet. Staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again」

「The property is beautiful, absolutely spotlessly clean, very comfortable and lots of lovely added touches. Our only problem was hotels.com show it in the wrong location on their map. I booked it as it showed beside the station but it is actually not there, it is higher up the hill behind the town. All other listings seem to be correct so seems to be a hotels.com problem」

「The room was lovely and very comfortable. I had some difficulty with the stairs both in the accommodation and in the outer building because of my mobility, so I would warn others of the steepness of the stairs. Everything was very clean and well presented, plenty of continental breakfast choices, tea and coffee etc. This would only have been improved by a more practical washing up facility than the bathroom sink. Having said that though, the bathroom was spotlessly clean.」

「We loved it, really central. 」

「Only thing wrong was we didn’t stay long enough. We loved this little cottage. It’s a beautiful little home away from home. Whitby was fantastic as well. Wish we’d known ahead of time how much we would love it so we could have booked a longer stay.」
