Really excellent stay at the Dolphin. Fantastic location in Whitby, friendly staff throughout my trip, a very pleasant breakfast; great value for money and would very much recommend!

Great location. Room was very nice size and up to date. Only negative is the parking is at the nearest public parking lot - if you can get a spot. But overall a good night at a great location.

Lovely Place to Stay

The hotel was in a great part of Edinburgh making it easy to walk places. We loved how the building fit in with old Edinburgh. The breakfast was delicious. Being able to store our luggage between checkout and when we caught the train gave us an extra half day in town. We definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland.

Great location,spacious room with super views,helpful staff and best hotel breakfast my husband has had. Only fault- didn't like having no milk or bottled water in the room. However we would certainly visit the Dolphin again.

Upon checking in, the room registered 32c degrees on my phone with no air con or fan. Security wise, the bathroom window was held open by a chock of wood, ground floor. Pretty unacceptable heat wise and security wise. I was not able to use the room and booked into another hotel nearby.

The most welcoming place we’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we walked through the door to leaving we were made welcome. The room was beautiful, it was clean and warm and the views were amazing. Owen behind the bar was the loveliest person. He gave us lots of information where to go for the next day. Thank you Owen you really did make our stay fab. Had a lovely 2 nights at the dolphin hotel with a lovely view of the water. The staff was amazing & locked our key in the room by accident and couldn't find spare key but they called a locksmith who got us back in. The hotel is lovely and food is amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Wish we had longer.
