Awesome friendly and patient staff!! Everything was perfect!! Rooms were clean and comfortable slept through the night. Compact rooms but then again it’s the perfect size for a couple. Close to the wonderful restaurants and shops in George Town. Bartender was so nice. I will stay again next time I visit beautiful Georgetown.

I liked the property, but the actual room is tiny! Like a cabin on a ship! The bed is on a hard platform, and the mattress was too firm! The staff was amazing, and it was clean.

The property is in a great neighborhood. The cafe and bar in the lobby are so convenient! It’s is clean and comfortable. The rooms are small (in a cozy way) but it was just me traveling for work so it was perfect. So is the price! My only suggestion is brighter lights in the ironing room. This might be my new go to for my monthly DC trips!

The room was infused with a smell that made it unlivable. The hotel said they could not provide a refund even though the room caused respiratory issues with us. Stay away if you value breathing!

I had a very unfortunate accident in my room where my shelf and clothing rack came unmoored from the room and shattered all over the floor. The team immediately sent up maintenance, housekeeping, paid for a complimentary breakfast, and sent some clothing that was the dirty by the event to the cleaners for me.

The location is ideal for exploring/walking in Georgetown. Bus service is the only public transportation available. The Metro Rail is available but not within walking distance. The room was small but the accomodations were excellent for my short two-day stay. I did have to figureout the high-tech electronics (Apple ipad) to control EVERYTHING! As a first time guest it would have been helpful to have a printed how-to info card for reference or more details from the staff when registering. Overall, I give it high ratings for quality and service during my stay. Post checkout issues: After leaving quickly to catch my flight, I realized I had left an important folder behind. It was impossible to make direct voice contact with hotel staff to have the forgotten item located and shipped to me. I think their AI phone system has a glitch and the recent opening of this property my be the issue. It has only been two days since check- out and still voice or written communication has happened. Very frustrating!

My stay at citizenM exceeded all my expectations! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and filled with impressive technology that makes the entire experience seamless. I would not stay at this property again simply because of the location unless I only planned to stay in Georgetown. Uber drivers got lost a lot and there were issues with getting there. Also, I found a dead spider in my room and there were flies which was surprising for such a new hotel. I would stay at other locations in DC, but not that location again.

Just getting to the hotel is a hassle however once there it is nice and quiet. I was on the 6th floor and we had a beautiful view of the Potomac River. I’d stay again.

The location of the property is incredible considering its price, also the staff is very helpful and friendly in general. However I had some issues with my check inn the second day, they told me I canceled my stay even though I payed the day before and my stuff was inside the room. It is a “tech-oriented” place which I assume is the reason behind most of their problems, the cleaning service got canceled as well even though I did not do it. Overall the staff helped me with what they could, but I would just recommend this place for its location. P.S. if you’re staying with someone else heads up to the privacy inside the room because the bathroom wall is glass and there is not proper separation between it and the bed (not my favorite aspect as well).
