"We stayed in the historic section of the hotel and it was great. Lovely Victorian architecture but updated with modern plumbing, HVAC, electrical etc. The room was large enough, comfortable and the bed was very nice. All the staff we interacted with were very helpful and went out of their way to give us suggestions of what to see and do in downtown Austin. Especially helpful was Emily at the front desk and Timothy the valet manager. The location is perfect for walking to most of Austin’s downtown sights, bars, and restaurants. A very nice stay and would definitely use the Driscoll again as our headquarters in a visit to Austin."

"Everything was perfect, Rachel at the front desk was very nice and welcoming during the check in process and recognized my status as a Hilton Honors member which was nice since she’s the first one to mention it and I’ve been an honors member for two years. The room was nice and clean and so was the bathroom but I have to say the elevators got me and my friend dizzy every time we used them and this has never happened before so I’m not sure what it could be, they also sound old. We went to the bar once but we really enjoyed our drink and the service provided. We didn’t get to try the breakfast so I’m not sure if it’s good or not. They have valet parking which is nice didn’t have any problems and was also given good service. Overall I would probably stay here again and recommend it to others."
