"The hotel is indeed in the city centre with lots of restaurants and shops all within walking distance from the hotel. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and the elevator was particularly quaint and interesting. The room was large, clean and well appointed. The area was as advertised. There are 2 bakeries nearby that produce absolutely scrumptious pastry (but hurry, they sell out fast). We did not need parking.
A point to note: taxis and tour buses do not (are not allowed) to drive up to the hotel so be prepared to manage your luggage over the short walk to the hotel."
"Location was easy to get too. Street parking in front and all around.
Location to city centre was perfect.
The staff at the desk were very sweet and helpful.
Free tea and coffee was very nice.
Noise level was no issue. Could hear people outside but that’s expected
Room was pretty typical European room. Small. Worked for us. Had a bit of a hard time walking around the beds to get to washroom. With two twin beds and two medium luggage bags that’s really the space gone lol but if you’re like us and barely in the room it works! If you need space then the room#101 won’t be ideal for you.
Room and bathroom were very clean. But also tiny. The shower pressure was amazing however!
We would stay here again know European hotels for a lower price are just small."
"Great stay, very comfortable. Parking can be a challenge, but not awful. Lots to do on site, great bakery next door, plenty of food delivery options and restaurants in walking distance. Would stay again!"
"The staff at this hotel is WORLD CLASS. The food at Tides is sensational, the rooms are wonderful (comfortable beds, fantastic showers) and the amenities are top tier. I will be looking to stay at any Marriott Edition hotel I can from this point forward. I give this hotel 10 stars."
"I really liked the fact that it is possible to open a window and get some fresh air into the room. Many modern hotel rooms are sealed and airless.
While it is convenient, the restaurant in the hotel was not great."
"In our room we have two shower heads. One didn’t work & the other one - the holder kept moving up & down. The pillows - I used three pillows under my head to get comfortable. They need replacing pillows are flat"
