「Great experience. Historic like hotel. Will book again. Clean room and bathroom was renovated. Friendly staff. Helped me to bring my bag up stairs. I had dinner at the restaurant with live music. Delicious food and a taste of American culture through the locals and their music. Lovely evening! The ride from Longwood Gardens to the hotel is gorgeous and takes about half hour.」

「It’s possible a lot of what I found disappointing in the property was poor timing. The hotel was sold on Sunday and we checked in Tuesday. After a long day of traveling we just wanted to check in, relax at the bar with a drink, and go to sleep. However, the bar wasn’t open. We were then told the elevator wasn’t working and but thankfully we were only on the 2nd floor. The continental breakfast was yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, or bagels…. but no toaster. 「The Bookhouse is a wonderful concept! Prioritizing books, making them accessible everywhere, is delightful. There were adventurous and playful touches, including the secret hide-away on the first floor, behind a bookcase. Housing a hotel in a very old house is another terrific choice. The restoration process is clearly in progress; it's understandable that it's a long-term project. Drawbacks were largely fixable.
