Lovely comfortable quiet hotel near cansls
This hotel is a beautiful gem in Cannaregio. The hotel is very comfortable and quiet. Amazing beds and a quiet room. The breakfast is delicious. Lots of choice and fresh options available. Great location , 20 mins or so to San Marco Piazza. Many local restaurants and bars on the local canals

Really liked this hotel, friendly staff and easy check in & out. Room was comfortable size with a fridge & kettle. Hot water, soft clean towels and toiletries. The window had a view to nothing( brick wall) but then we hardly spent time in the room. Breakfast was good, all the normal stuff,cereal, juices, bread, fruit, coffee,plus you filled a choice sheet daily for ham's cheese's,toast,cake, pancakes, bacon, boiled egg, pastries etc.. as much as you wanted. Last morning we departed at 4.30am & we got given a pack up breakfast for our journey 😀 all in all 10/10 happy and would return. Walking distance to all the main sightseeing places, hotel is right where the locals are. Real venice! Bars, cafes and restaurants right on the doorstep. Railway station 20 mins and bus station 25 mins away. 😀

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very compact, with a very small bathroom. I question the attention to detail in cleaning as we found a purse left by a previous guest that was quite "dust laden". The breakfast offering was quite adequate. Comparatively speaking I felt it was overpriced to other accommodations we booked in Venice, that were quite lovely.

Located in a lovely area with lots of cafes and restaurants but this hotel is tucked away and quiet! Fab room with a view of the canal. Friendly, relaxed and informative check in! Wonderful!

This is a very charming small hotel off the beaten track in the Cannaregio district. All the staff are absolutely charming and very helpful. My very spacious bedroom was wonderfully quirky, with a small window opening almost at canal level! Unfortunately I did not feel comfortable leaving this open at night and, with the other larger window too high to reach, I had to have the air conditioning on all night but luckily it was not noisy. The bed was very comfortable but was two single beds pushed together so you have to be careful not to lie in the middle! Everything was very clean, especially the well-equipped bathroom (lovely big bath towels!) and I had no worries about Covid-19. Sadly, this has meant a few of the amenities not being available at the moment, which were not altered on Expedia, such as no tea and coffee facilities in the room and no buffet at breakfast ,with a reduced menu (no fresh fruit offered). Breakfast is served at your table and is a fairly limited selection of cold items plus tea or coffee. However, the Misericordia canalside has many little cafes and shops offering tempting treats. There is also a small supermarket down an alley beside the hotel plus the bigger Despar in Teatro Italia only a few minutes’ walk away so it was easy to fill the empty minibar fridge with a few essentials. In fact, this hotel is admirably placed for walking almost anywhere in Venice in a relatively short time (twenty minutes to the train and bus stations).

Great stay in a great location
An amazing location and stay, with very thoughtful and accomodating staff. The building is tucked away in a residential square, allowing a peaceful night's sleep, and the rooms are plenty large enough with all the mod-cons needed for a comfy city stay. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with views over one of the many canals. The only slight drawback was the number of mosquitos that were present during October, a particularly tricky time as the staff sympathised. They were very helpful in providing tips around the city, tours that you could book from the location and also how to get rid of the bugs! Would stay again, thank you!

Unfortunately when we arrived it was a bit warm (70 degrees F or so) and they had apparently turned off all the air conditioning in the building and it couldn't be turned back on (?). We had a room with a lofted bed above a small living area, so it was about 85-90 degrees F up in the bed area. It was very hot and uncomfortable and I ended up sleeping on the loveseat downstairs on our honeymoon! Nice location though, and breakfast was fine (nothing to write home about but good coffee). Bed was not super comfortable.

Excellent stay!
Hotel is small but very clean conveniently located and short walk (13 min) from the train station or approx 10 min from Grand Canal, comfortable beds and hosts were very attentive and so helpful at suggesting us places to see and do. They advised to rent gondola away from Grand Canal which was great idea since it was no traffic (yes water traffic) considering that the ride is only 30 min who wants to spend that time trying to navigate between water taxis and other gondolas so we used their advice and rented gondola on the spot during the day in a quiet place it was a great ride. Great experience!

Loved the location. Close to Cannaregio restaurants & bars. But the hotel was quiet. Helpful staff, and a nice breakfast. And only a short walk to the tourist hotspots of Venice.

Quiet location in Canareggio neighborhood near the old Jewish ghetto. Breakfast included; it was good but not outstanding. Friendly staff, although the woman who checked me in neglected to give me the entry code to get into the breakfast room, and someone had stepped away from the front desk. Breakfast delayed!

Pleasant weekend away!
The first room we were given smelt very very bad but we were moved to a new room which was lovely, it had two floors! The gentlemen on reception were lovely and the location of the hotel was perfect. Just 10 minute walk from the train station but 25 minute walk from Rialto/San Marco etc. Only criticisms we had was the room wasn’t perfectly clean, there were black hairs in the bathroom. Also the breakfast is continental style, possible improvement would be bacon! Overall we enjoyed our time in Venice, Will day though if you have difficult walking you may struggle in Venice!!!

Lovely hotel in a quieter part of the city. There are still plenty of great restaurants within a few minutes walking distance however and being away from the touristy parts of Venice they are much more authentic and reasonably priced. Venice being the size that it is, St Marks Square etc. is within easy walking distance. Rialto Bridge is less than 10 minutes walk away. Breakfast was help yourself European type buffet and was plentiful and fresh. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Can't fault it.

Close to main walking street that connects all of Venice. Cole to train station, vaoaretto and water bus to airport. Breakfast included. Safe in room and an actual cupboard to put some of our stuff.

I loved this hotel! It was extremely clean, away from the mayhem of the tourism and really close to great eating from locals perspective! Everything is in walking distance and the hotel staff was amazing and even gave us ideas of where to eat and any other questions we had. Definitely will stay there when we go back!

Hotel was bright, clean and welcoming. The room had an authethentic venician feel and the bathroom was modern with a large shower space. We stayed one night prior to leaving for home and the staff kept our bags until we were ready to head to the airport. We would definitely return to the hotel and would recommend Al Mascaron Ridente to friends.
