"Wanted to rate higher. It has some very good points. But reported Fridge in our room wasn’t working. The back of it was getting very hot but was not cooling. I was told someone would look at it. No one came. I unplugged it in the end for safety. Air conditioning didn’t work in our room and later the safe stopped locking."

"This hotel was brilliant, fulfilling our requirements. The pool was amazing set by the Nile and the staff were really friendly both around the amenities and in the hotel itself. The downside was the rooms are a little tried and a refresher should bring it up to western levels. It is also a little further out of Luxor, making it challenging to escape the offers of taxis and horse carts, when walking into the centre. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this gem of a hotel in Luxor, run by the warm and welcoming Mohammed. The highlight has to be the rooftop lounge — the views overlooking the Valley of the Kings are simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. The food was delicious, with a great selection that kept us coming back for every meal. The staff were genuinely lovely — friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with tips for exploring the area. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, each with a balcony to soak in the stunning surroundings. If you’re visiting Luxor, look no further — this place ticks every box. "The room was nice and bathroom was nice and clean, my problems were that the WiFi didn't work throughout my stay and due to my phone data not working, was unable to use my phone for anything my entire stay. I was also charged for the drinks in the rooms fridge which originally I was told I was allowed to have. I was also charged for grease/sweat stains on my pillow which is inevitable in a hot country. Won’t be staying again considering I wasn’t even compensated for the lack of WiFi. "

"Very clean room, great AC and a lovely pool! More than anything, Sayed was incredibly welcoming and helpful - when our hot air balloon was cancelled for bad weather, he helped us plan the perfect alternative activities. Fantastic location right next to the valley of the kings/queens and lovely views over the fields. Thank you for a wonderful stay! "

"Our room was very nice. The overall interior and landscape design of Al Wadi is very charming. Although this property is located in a rural area, it is quite urban in its design, featuring a modern, antique, and chic aesthetic in this boutique hotel. All I can say is that we were pleasantly surprised by Al Wadi. "

"Great service, calm and very cosy, peaceful, beautiful country backyard, owner and staff will do anything to help make your stay memorable. The room is clean and equipped with all what could be needed. It is a great place to stay away from the buzz of the city and have a great feeling of the area life style from the tour of the around fields provided by the staff it the beautiful garden on site. My only complaint was road access which is not in the hands of the lodge crew but the city. I would recommend this place any day."

"We had an excellent stay at Sharqotel Luxor! The hotel is in the country side, but perfect for exploring the west bank, and is close by to restaurants and shops. Especially the beautiful Habu Tempel, don’t miss it! The room was clean, modern and had a great view! Our host, Mohammed Dahab, was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great as well, and huge! He helped us arrange a taxi back to the hotel. Thank you for the stay!"
