Room was good. Older hotel but dripping with character. Front desk staff was engaging and helpful. Breakfast was very good. rooms are noisy, both from adjacent spaces but also from the street. I could live with it given the coolness of the hotel. Parking was probably the worst part of the experience. Because of the Kringle market, I could not get to the hotel's parking garage or even close enough to drop off my luggage. I went to one of the garages that showed as "public parking". When I got to the hotel they gave me a coupon to cover my parking at the Public garage. But, apparently, I wasn't in the correct public garage. The coupon did not say which garage it applied to. So I got socked with some pretty high parking fees. The fees were not as bad as the feeling that I just got played. Definitely left a bad taste for Vail.

Great boutique hotel which we always enjoy. Parking fees in Vail have become absurdly high. This is becoming difficult to justify. Vail has always been expensive, but this sudden increase in parking fees show contempt for its customers.

Cute hotel but warm in summer

First time staying at this hotel, and in Vail village. The hotel itself was really cute and the room was big. Loved the outside deck area which looked over the plaza and views of the mountain. Obviously the hotel is an older building but didn’t think about the lack of air conditioning in middle of summer heat, so made the mistake of requesting the top floor and thus did not sleep well (even with fans) due to the heat. The beds were very comfortable though. Michelle at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Getting to the hotel in a vehicle was a little tough, you drive down a pedestrian street, which is full of kids who don’t pay attention and run in front of your car, so wasn’t a fan of getting to and from hotel. Had to park off-premise because parking was full at hotel. But after checking-in/out, being able to walk everywhere and use public transportation was very easy and less stressful. Overall, it was a nice stay but it wasn’t the most easygoing experience. Really loved Vail though!

It is so fun to stay at a place that feels “old school” in the best ways but with modern amenities. Each room is different. The hotel is quaint and about as close to visiting Austria as you can while sitting in Colorado.
