Comfort Inn University

8/10 Good

"Comfort Inn was just what we needed for a few nights to check out the nearby University. The property and room were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. The WiFi worked well enough for emails, using SharePoint, etc. (I didn’t try streaming video). The included breakfast was good enough, with premade eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, juices and a waffle station. It was a good value option."

Wyndham Garden Buffalo Downtown

"The front desk staff, valet service, breakfast staff, and housekeeping were always friendly and helpful. The room was large, quiet, and clean, and the bedding was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The breakfast was decent. I suggest adding a water-bottle-filling station and rearranging the coffee/beverage area, as it doesn't really allow more than one person to get a beverage at a time. My only other complaint is that the gym is small, and the only treadmill was out of service during the four days I was there."

The Richardson Hotel

"There is an even-numbered wing and an odd-numbered wing in the hotel with two different sets of elevators- it would be nice to be told that when you check in! I couldn’t find my room at first - thought I was going crazy! I’m walking down the corridor room 107, 109, 111 where the hell is room 110? - wrong wing. Also a huge part of customer service is understanding your customer- I drove 7 hours from Boston, arrived at 3:30pm exhausted - only to be told check in time is 4pm! - and was strictly enforced- it’s just not a great welcome for the first time visitor - apparently all the cleaning staff finish cleaning all the rooms at precisely 4pm - not a minute earlier! But the bedroom was beautiful 15 ft ? If you pull into the (free) Ceilings clean, quiet, the coffee is great you can feel the history in the building and they’ve done an amazing job of remodeling and renovation it truly is beautiful. Now I understand the layout and the “ boutique hotel” mindset better, I might stay there again."
