We stayed here for our honeymoon and we couldn't be happier. Upon arrival they had filled the bath with flower petals and covered the bed in them too, they brought us a delicious happy honeymoon cake aswell. The staff went above and beyond everyday, the food was amazing but the only downside of the entire stay to us was there was no option for meat other than seafood on the menu. No problem at all though, everything was delicious. The spa was amazing and really added that special touch to the honeymoon. Next time we're in bali we will definitely be staying here again.

Pura Vida at the Purist

The Purist Villa was a sublime retreat into a wonderfully designed cottage, surrounded by the lushness of the jungle and charm of the boutique hotel. The layout of the villa was just spectacular, giving us the space and privacy we needed, but also connected to the inviting common areas (pool, restaurant, gym). The massage I recieved at the spa was the best I had in Bali

We had 7 relaxing nights staying in 2 separate villas (Bamboo, Jungle). Staffs were very friendly. Atmosphere is relaxing & tranquil. Restaurants is a nice convenience when we don’t want to go out. Good to see some familiar faces when we first came 10 years ago…..Alberto who happened to be in town, Sudarma, and the cook. Will stay here again when in Bali. Terima Kasih!

The property and our room (River 3) were beyond beautiful. Thank you to the amazing restaurant staff, the food and service were exceptional. We really appreciated that staff lit mosquito coils on our verandah in the evening so we could sit out. It was a quick and inexpensive ride into central Ubud and a good jumping off point to sites in the area. I highly recommend staying here.

I stayed in both Joglo and Jungle villa with my big group family. It is a fantastic villa to stay. I highly recommend the villa. Traffic in Ubud central is just absolutely crazy though.

It is our second time staying at The Purist. My kids and I came last year and had to return on our trip this year. It is the only property we decided to repeat because 1. We loved the spacious size of the rooms (last year we had Bamboo Villa and this year we had a Jungle Villa). 2. We love the breakfast but most of all 3. The staff is so kind and welcoming. Huge huge fans of this hotel. Recommend to all.

The place is unbelievable. A bit expensive especially for Bali but worth it for a special occation. It's a bit of a mission to get to the town but they have a free taxi service there.

The Purist Villas is perfectly (for us) situated slightly away from the busy downtown. The front desk was helpful in arranging car transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel itself is a gorgeous oasis and we loved our villa. The cleaning and grounds staff were amazingly efficient and detail oriented. The spa and restaurant were excellent, and the front desk was so helpful. We even planned to squeeze in a last lunch of delicious noodles from the restaurant before we left for the airport! Highly recommend this hotel. :)

I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the Purist Villas and Spa. It started right from the beginning. We were told that they would have to charge my credit card again because my account number changed and they said they would refund the initial charge, after charging my card again for the entire hotel stay, I was told that the refund will take 14days. What? If I would have know that, I would have not agreed to charge my card a second time. Then in the room the AC was not working properly. At night we woke up sweating. It was colder outside than inside our room. We had asked to get it fixed, but the first night, no one came and the second day, it worked for a little while, and then stopped working again. Also we noticed that our luggage was gone through, my husband wallet was in a different spot from where he had left it. As far as I kow nothing was missing. There were stains on the curtains that separated the toilet from the bedroom. The pool area was not as private and secluded as expected. We saw employees going up and down the stairs while in our private pool, but the worst thing was on night 2, our last night. It was raining heavily outside for an hour and our roof was leaking and rain water was dripping on our pillows while we were sleeping at 3am. Considering that this trip was for our 20th anniversary, I was extremely disappointed. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I expect more from a 4.5 star hotel with a price tag like that.

とても素晴らしいホテルでした。ホテルのセンスの良さ、スタッフの温かい対応、美味しいお食事、ヨガの先生のレベルの高さ。一つだけ不満があるのは、大きなお風呂にお湯を溜めることができず （途中で冷たくなる）、バスタブに入りたいためにこちらの宿を選んだにも関わらず、バスタブに入れなかったことです。バスタブに入りたい方は、小さなバスタブのある部屋をリクエストすることをお勧めします。それ以外は素晴らしい宿です。

River villa 3 was gorgeous. The quality of the materials used to build the villa and the property in general was top notch. The decor of the bathroom was so luxurious it felt like a mini spa. The most awesome part of my stay was the service. All of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. They remembered my name and made me feel special every day. On my birthday the staff surprised me with roses a flower bath and dessert. I loved staying at The purist and was so sad to leave.
