KAN Tulum Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Such comfy beds and the restaurant is not to be missed!"

Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The room was beautiful, but there were roaches (I understand that in tropical locations/ jungle locations it tends to be harder to get rid of them but it was still unfortunate to see), the room was not cleaned while I was there and evidence of the room merely being turned down was done since the dead bugs found in the room were not removed from the floor during my stay. Be mindful if staying in the swim out rooms that the sliding door to the pool do not have a handle to pull the door back open, you could leave the door open with the screen door closed but the ac will turn off (as it should to preserve energy).
There were a lot of nice amenities in the room, I was given an upgrade to preferred so this may affect what was provided in the room, but they give you a small sample of sunscreen and mosquito repellent (I used what was provided in the room and my own repellent and still got bit up so bear that in mind if you are sensitive to mosquito bites). There was a beach bag that you get to keep, robes, slippers, a sewing kit, shower cap, and very nice soap, shampoo conditioner and lotion provided. The room also has a large safe, ample storage, no vanity area, but a small extendable mirror with a light for makeup application (which you will need to stand to utilize). The breakfast was lack luster in flavor and was very "American". The dinner restaurants were better but lacked seasoning at the outdoor grill restaurant. The French restaurant was far better in terms of taste. "

Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"Our experience at Dreams Resort Tulum was extremely disappointing. At checkout, the resort added a $200 charge for what they claimed were “bodily fluids” on the sheets, when in reality, it was simply makeup. When we questioned the charge, we were threatened with involving the authorities if we didn’t pay.
We were traveling with a large group, and several of us were hit with the same $200 fee for various questionable reasons, which felt unfair and excessive.
To make matters worse, from the very first day, we received early morning calls (as early as 8:00 AM) pressuring us to attend a timeshare presentation. The constant sales pitches followed us throughout the resort and made it difficult to relax and enjoy our vacation.
Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, and we will not be returning."

"The staff was helpful and knew English well. The room was neat and clean, AC was turned on 23C before my arrival and it was just perfect! I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much."

"I had an amazing time, the property was stunning. A breath of fresh air and exactly what I needed for a vacation "

Nômade Temple Tulum
2/10 Terrible
"I was Beyond disappointed. Rooms smelled like a tiki torch fuel. You cant flush toilet paper and are asked to leave it in the trash in the room for 24 hrs. the beach was dirty and unclean. I asked for a refund and they didn't honor it or give me credit to one of their alternate properties Very poorly managed"

Hotelito Azul
4/10 Poor
"This place is all aesthetic illusion and zero substance. The beachfront location and kind staff are the only things keeping it from being a complete write-off.
The rooftop pools—one of the main booking draws have been stripped of their appeal. They’re now covered by a solar awning, blocking nearly all sunlight. A rooftop pool with no sun is a design failure. You also can’t order food or drinks up there, making the space feel pointless. Worse, it’s in rough shape—cracked, broken wood slats and a noticeable wobble underfoot make it feel neglected and borderline unsafe.
The restroom and changing area are embarrassing. Think rundown dive bar, not boutique hotel. One door was hanging off its hinge, the other didn’t lock.
Cleanliness was also an issue. The pools and hot tubs were visibly dirty, which is unacceptable at this price point.
The “$100 room credit” is misleading. It only applies to alcohol and only at a restaurant that closes before dinner hours, making it nearly useless.
The staff does their best—they’re the only bright spot. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were consistently disappointing.
This place sells a polished fantasy online but fails to deliver in reality. Spend your money elsewhere"
