"Excellent hotel. The only reason why we gave one less star for comfort was because, as visitors from Australia, we found the mattress to be very hard. It was the same at other hotels we stayed at in Japan. The hotel is within walking distance of the Matsuyama station or a short tram ride."

"Had a wonderful stay. I booked the premium room with queen bedin the central building, Room was big, very comfortable. Fairly well insulated for noise. Aircon worked well. The toilet was spacious and there was ample hot water with very good water pressure, blackout curtains could be better at blocking out sunlight in the mornings, but it wasn’t that big a problem for me, I would recommend a stay at this hotel. "Upon arrival the staff kindly informed us of our forwarded luggage from the previous hotel. Which was already placed in our room. Upon entry we noticed 1 piece of luggage was missing. I want to thank the staff of Dogo Yaya for their hard work in getting the luggage to our hotel within 24 hours of arrival. Service was amazing. The onsen facilities around the hotel were good and the hotel provided the necessary clothes and towels. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods which we enjoyed a lot. I highly recommend the hotel if you're staying in Matsuyama. Next time I will consider booking a night extra, 1 day was too short. "
