The rooms are small which is totally fine. The customer service was not all that great except for the one staff member who actually helped us get a fan. The plumbing was messed up and had no hot water, AC, or ice. And they had no way of saying how long it would be that way. The elevators are very tiny and hold only a couple of people with luggage. Room was clean but other than the one helpful staff member, that was all they had going for them.

The room was clean and large for nyc. The bathroom was on the brink of needing to be refreshed. The door to the room did not close without slamming it.

Do not stay here (especially on the first floor) if you'd like to get a good night's sleep. It was so loud outside and in the hotel hallway that I could hear literal conversations. We didn't sleep a wink and it ruined our following day in NYC. They need to warn you about this on their website. I also asked for extra blankets twice because it was cold and twice the person at the desk said he would get blankets and he never did. I do a lot of travelling for a living and this was by far the worst experience, especially the fact that they did not acknowledge our concerns and requests.

"I found the bathrooms were kind of small on a single room. Hard to use the toilet being a larger man. But overall, it wasn’t too bad of a place to stay. Checking in was kind of slowish. But the manager was really nice. It was actually a pretty friendly place to stay."

"Third stay at the New Yorker. The location can’t be beat. Our 2 bed metro view room was updated and had plenty of space. Attached restaurants are great. Can walk to many things, with super convenient transportation options."
