「Friendly staff, great location for the museum, theatre, seafront and harbour. There is a bus stop right outside for Barnstaple for shopping. We asked if we could have a ground floor room when we booked and that was what we were given. The bathroom was large and very clean. We had to leave early as our granddaughter was unwell and the night staff were very helpful. We would stay in this hotel again. Only downside was the decor was a bit tired in our room.」

「I love beautiful old buildings, and this was one of them. The grounds were beautiful. The staff were very polite. The breakfast was very nice. All in all my partner and i had a wonderful time, and will definitely be booking the same place again next year. 」

「We had a warm, friendly welcome and staff did all they could to make our stay satisfactory. The food was first rate. Everywhere was very clean as were the bed linen and towels. I can genuinely recommend this venue.」

「The Imperial was ;lovely, well run hotel with excellent staff and food with one exception.namely the bread used for toast and sandwiches is very thick (approx 8mms) and not in keeping with a hotel of this quality. It should be replaced」

「Barton Instow Guest house is a jewel in the crown. A lovely old converted farmhouse nestled in the Instow countryside but only a short walk to the beautiful beach front.
