Camping El Greco Toledo Bungalow No 1 The only thing we liked was it was clean . It was more like a night in a night in a worn out shed . My wife or I could not even go to the toilet with out waking the other up as the floor squeaked that loud when you tried to walk to the toilet . I slept in the 2nd bedroom in the single bed or rather tried to but it was that worn out , it gave me a back ache as it drooped in the middle so did not get much sleep at all . My wife was also woken up with Kittens and cats under the floor making a noise most of the night in this so called wooden bungalow , that is a joke . One night in this place is enough . I complaint in the morning to the person in charge of the reception and he obviously did not care in the slightest as all he did was shrug his shoulders and said ,” What can I do” . So not impressed with the attitude of the management either . Apartment in small square, walled city of Toledo…

We enjoyed staying within the walled city and were able to walk to all historic sites within the city. The cathedral is huge and fascinating. The El Greco museum is also very interesting. The walking is on steep cobbled streets and suits those who enjoy a good challenge! There are some stunning views. The apartment in the photo is not the T4 duplex which is on 3 levels: lower kitchen and upstairs bedroom with the only bathroom at the far end of the bedroom - not ideal. The agent could 'only check us in at 5.30 pm' because she had so many check-ins that day! We were on time, but she was 10 minutes late. There were no linens provided for the sofa bed, even though it's listed in the apartment description. Apparently, we were supposed to request these in advance! We were told that it was impossible to have these delivered for our first night, but they arrived the next day. The kitchen was well equipped in terms of cooker, fridge, washing machine, but useful smaller items were missing e.g. no kettle, tea towels, oven gloves. We stayed for 5 nights and the apartment was not serviced during our stay. We didn't need much, but would have appreciated a change of towels and bin-bag in the middle of our stay. Toledo is a beautiful and well preserved walled city, but has a lot of visitors on day trips every day, so expect to encounter many walking tours as you explore the city.…We enjoyed staying within the walled city and were able to walk to all historic sites within the city.
