This property is good for what you pay for in terms of being walking and transit closeness to places like Ginza Six, Asakusa, Akihabara, and Tsukiji and about 20-28 mins to Haneda Airport. not too big of a fan of Ginza in general so my opinion may not be as helpful. It’s quiet, but doesn’t feel like Japan if that makes sense. However, the staff are incredibly friendly and made the stay welcoming which what made our stay pleasant. I would definitely recommend if you are trying to break up your Tokyo stay as this is the epicenter of being able to get around on the other half of Tokyo.

The staff was very professional and kind. The rooms were small but clean. Our bathroom shower head had mold all over it. We called the front desk and they were able to switch it out for us thankfully.

Great friendly and helpful reception staff. Hotel close to cruise terminal, central station, imperial palace and Ginza shopping district. Nice restaurant on the 14th floor, ground floor bar shuts at 9pm in the evening.

I rarely post any negative reviews but my stay at the Royal Park Canvas Ginza 8 was a horrible experience. The staff at the hotel gave us a room at the specified check- in time. After a long travel day with a young child and we have finally settled in the room (luggage opened, clothes out/hung), the hotel staff came by a few times without telling us what was wrong. Finally they told us that they gave us the wrong room and asked us to move!!! I was really upset about the situation but decided not to make a scene, and agreed to move. We had to repack our luggage, move them all the way to the new room, and at the same time, need to manage a rather tired & cranky toddler! The manager never came to apologize nor the hotel did anything for the huge inconvenience that they have caused my family. The setup of the new room was also an odd one with the sink right next to the bed and the shower and washroom in a separate area. This reminded me of university dorms. Other than the location was super convenient to the main streets and food, the experience at the hotel was horrible.

Dear Jane, First of all, I sincerely apologize for your unpleasant experience during your stay with us. We regret that your stay was not what you expected due to our lack of communication, needless to say our careless mistakes. When you checked in, my associate wrote the wrong room number on your key booklet, and the room you incorrectly given was not locked and was waiting for final inspection by the housekeeping supervisor, thus my associates had to come to your room several times to see if any problems had happened. Unfortunately, all rooms were fully booked except for the type of the room you reserved on that day, therefore we had nothing else to do but to ask you to move you to the room you booked. Our associate helped your luggage to move the room since you had already unpacked your belongings, however we should have been more considerate to you after your long journey with your children. I will remind my associates that we are here to make the guests’ stay happy, and I will be thorough on staff training in the future. Last but not least, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for taking time out of your valuable time to give us your feedback.

I had booked as usual - “2 travellers, 1 room”. But when I arrived I was told I had booked for single occupancy only. I had to pay for the second person, which was very reasonable. It was a surprise nonetheless. Room 909 is very small, hardly enough room on either sides of the king bed. There isn’t a closet, just two pegs and four hangers. The bathroom is spacious in comparison. The staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast was included, and good. But perhaps they should increase the items available. It becomes repetitive when you stay for more than 3 nights. The location is excellent, many shops and restaurants within close proximity. Overall, not a bad experience; but not the best value for money.

This Royal Park Canvas is a cool, quiet hotel right in the heart of Ginza. It’s a nice relief from all the hustle of shibuya and shinjuku area after a day of walking with tons of people… it easy access from ginza station, lots of malls right outside the hotel with lots of food options too… the hotel is not big or openly wide but it has a warm, cozy vibes. The rooms were tiny compared to the western hotel types but it’s very clean and quiet. Overall would stay here again…

Perfect location! A block away from the all the signature shops in Ginza. The staff are super helpful! Its super convenient its close to restaurants and train station. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tolyo. Highly recommended

Location is great but rooms are very small (even by Japanese standards). We are non smokers - there is a smoking room on the 2nd floor where there is also the lounge/kitchen and fitness room. Basically that entire floor ends up smelling like smoke which ruined the facilities for us.

The hotel was actually really nice, quite liked it. It was conveniently located in an area of Ginza next to restaurants high-end stores and a 7-minute walk to a station. To be honest, the only thing that I didn't like was the bed that felt quite hard for me and the pillow wasn't as comfortable

Nice safe clean hotel near the center of everything. I like the mattress which gives me a good back support to allow me sleep well at night. My trouble was that I couldn’t find the button to turn off the lower level lights along entrance area. I’m very sensitive to the light so I need to be able to turn off all lights before I go to sleep. Another thing is I wish the bathroom has a curtain or blurred glass for shower so that another family member could use the restroom at the same time without feeling embarrassed. Thanks.

This was a great hotel to stay at for a week! The rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay great. It is also very conveniently located near a bunch of train stations and about a 30-40 minute train ride from Haneda. We would definitely stay here again!

The room seems a little different than what I booked. There’s suppose to be a tatami room within the hotel room based on the pictures when I booked it, but the room I stayed at does not have a tatami room. In fact, it’s very small and I had no idea where to open my luggage. Also the room is very dark. It has windows but it’s facing the back of another building. The distance of it is within an arm’s length, so opening the blinds or not doesn’t make a difference on getting more sunlight. The carpet in the room seems dusty. Otherwise everything else is fine. It is very convenient to walk from the hotel to any shopping places in Ginza.

First of all, I am very sorry to make you misunderstand by the picture that it looks like we have a tatami room. Actuary we do not have any room with Tatami, but we have some room which place a bed on the floor. (It looks like Futon on Tatami.) As you mentioned, your room was closely facing the next building. You might felt darker your room than the other hotels. We would appreciate it if you would let us know if you need an extra light when you are staying in the next time. We have some extra stand light for the guest. Thank you for your good comments in spite of such disappointments. We would be very happy if you could give us an opportunity to welcome you again not far future.

Great hotel in a great location
We loved the hotel, especially the common lounge area, and the restaurant with fantastic breakfasts, as well as the bar and free drink vouchers provided. The location is also fantastic. Our only downside was that we booked for four people, kids aged 12 & 15, and we were told we were given the biggest room available which had 3 single beds, it was too small for us. We were also then only given three breakfast vouchers per day because we had a 3 bed room. It was like our second child did not exist.
