「Clean room, I like that they’ve removed the small shampoo bottles and have big ones that they refill. We loved the little patio area, and that each cove was almost like a little community with kids playing with each other. I deducted one star because I didn’t feel like any effort towards sustainability has been made, which is important for us when traveling. Almost everything is served with single-use plastic containers during breakfast, which makes it feel both cheap and wasteful. 」

「This is a motel not a hotel, that was hard to tell from the pics. It was fine for a night. It smelled like stale cigarettes, like the kind that is in the walls/paint and no matter how much you clean it just lingers. It was not the cleanest either. We had to use the sofa bed for our youngest and it had crumbs and hair under the cushions- bed was clean inside though and we had fresh linen for it. Walls and floors seemed surface clean. 「Check in was good, breakfast was good. Now the negative, the bathroom floor was dirty, the room had a not so good smell, the ac unit was very noisy. My biggest concern was the noise coming from outside of our unit, room 208, which is right in front of everyone coming up the stairs at all times of the night. Also, at 1030-1045 pm there was a man speaking on his cell phone, very loud in front of my room which woke us up. I lowered the ac temp to turn it on to mask the noise outside. It didn’t make...

「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」
