"Normally food service is quite good however this staff were slow with ages in between courses I even had to disturb their conversation to ask where my next course was. Reception staff amazing as always. "

"Starting with the Restaurant i had two evening meals during my two night stay both were excellent good home cooked food. Breakfast was really good with a selection of hot breakfast options. Accommodation junior suit was very spacious and furnished to a very good spec , so clean. Even the towels were large and so soft. Then there is the view out of the large patio doors and windows out over the fields / hills like out of a movie. Whilst this was a two night business trip will aim to return for a weekend break with my wife. Great Staff / Food and accommodation what more could you ask for."

"This was a 2 day business trip, what a mistake. The pub was close to a rough housing area, who then frequented it with their presence. The staff were great but this was a rough pub, with poor food and the accomodation block was a disgrace. If we didn't know it looked like what the migrants are housed in, avoid this like the plague "

"Decent place to stopover on journeys up or down the M1. Reasonably priced accommodation, food and drink, with friendly staff. Plenty of parking, of course."

"Very disappointing stay. The room I booked was already occupied when I arrived. I was moved to a smaller room that did not match what I paid for three people, and my children had to find accommodation elsewhere. The place was not very clean and had an unpleasant smell. The kitchen was dirty. I did not even wait for breakfast. I chcked out very early in the morning."

"There was a strange smell in reception when I arrived. Staff were friendly enough, but despite checking in online they wanted ID to prove my age (which I didn’t have as i hadn’t realised/read I needed any). The room was recently refurbished and therefore in good condition - basic but really good value for money! Only issue was that it was noisy - I was room 1 which is next to reception and I could hear everything the staff were saying, as well as noise from the corridor."

"Hilary and Graham were fantastic hosts, super knowledgeable, we felt right at home. Breakfast was great too and their garden was perfect for enjoying the sun. Would recommend!"
