One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks.

The Old Poets Corner is a lovely pub in a perfect location. Lots of real ales on tap, walking trails on the doorstep and a lovely village to explore. Lovely cafe (that doubles as a post office) 5 mins round the corner. 2 other pubs on the doorstep. Views are amazing.

The room was clean, Staff excellent, Bar fully stocked, Wifi good. Room was very small 10foot wide 20foot long, bed very soft, no good for people with back problems. Advertised as B&B cleaner had to get manager in to do breakfast which was basically a bacon sandwich. No breakfast the following day even though it was the chef who let us out of building!

A lovely place to stay in Ashover. Staff were kind and friendly and the accomodation is quiet and comfortable, if a little lacking in detailed maintenance in places. But despite that, I should be happy to return in the future

Fantastic locals pub with lots of atmosphere, great food. Can't speak highly enough of the village of Ashover, and the surrounding area. The rooms are a little small but its what you expect for a pub of that age. Definately a 5 star stay.

The Old Poets Corner is perfect for a one night stay. It's in a quiet rural location but it was a travel stop for us. Rooms are clean and quiet, named after beers and you get complimentary beer in the room. Bathrooms are dated but clean.

Avoid

A small drab room with a uncomfortable bed, ALL of the fittings in the small shower room were broken. We did not stay for breakfast.
