"Ok breakfast. Ok hotel in riverwalk area but not good value for 220 night. Parking way extra. Our room had very loud ac vent"

"The Contessa is the value of a Holiday Inn with the cost of an Intercontinental property. This is an old hotel with a small pool crammed onto the rooftop. You don't get a walk in shower like the photos show here on Orbitz and my wife didn't have hot water for her shower this morning, either. If you are a basketball hooligan that wants to get drunk and make a lot of noise, this is your place! But if you're a normal human looking to enjoy the Riverwalk, go over to the Hilton instead. The Ambler restaurant, however, had excellent food and exellent servers - they should move to a good hotel."

"Hotel location is great and very convenient to the Riverwalk and other tourist attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. There was quite a bit of street noise, so don’t expect a relaxing stay as it’s quite loud into the night. Also, the cleaning crew did not do a great job with our room. Don’t think it was swept once during our 4 day stay."
