"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the hotel. Everyone was very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. We very much appreciated the guest fridge to store some food and the coffee/beverage machine was fantastic. We had everything we needed with the local store and restaurants. We only wish the Fontan Spa was open, it was being renovated. "

"Beautiful location near the geyser and waterfalls around. Lovely cottage with amazing views and very private. Great for families as the main bed is in its own room and the sleeper sofa in the living room. Perfect for our family of four traveling with two kids. We had a small hiccup getting the access code information but once we contacted the owner directly, they were very helpful and resent the information. Seems like it’s an orbitz issue as we had the same issue at another location booked through orbitz. Both owners confirmed they had sent the email confirmation prior to arrival. All in all, highly recommend this place. We would have stayed longer if we could have. We were able to enjoy the hot tub (although it was a bit complicated to unlock and definitely need two people to assist- having directions posted would be helpful) and were able to do our laundry while here. It’s definitely a one of a kind experience that is a must while in Iceland."

"We loved our stay at Uthlid Cottages and wish we had booked more than one night! The hosts were so welcoming and the breakfast basket option they offered was superb for the reasonable price point. The location was beautiful - tucked back into the woods and thw cabin was so much bigger than we expected. Very comfortable for a family of three, great living space to hang out in. And the hot tub! Wow! Even though we arrived late, we spent hours relaxing in it after checking in and then took another soak in the morning. We would also recommend grabbing am easy dinner at their little restaurant. Good food and cute setting! 10/10 would recommend!"

"We loved the animals. The cows, the horses, and especially the farm dogs. The dogs made us feel like we were at home greeting us at the restaurant with their tales wagging. Watching the cows from the restaurant was like having dinner with a movie. And the horses were majestic. 10/10 restaurant and spacious comfortable room with great blackout drapes as well."
