"We stayed for one night at this hotel - it was fantastic. One of the best features is that it is up in the hills close to the chairlift site up to the volcanic cone. It is also far away from the very touristy coastal region and nestling in some very expensive privately owned homes, which were very pleasant to drive around. There is nobody staffing the hotel but checking in was a breeze as they communicated very clearly with us by messaging. We turned up and our room was open with the key inside....

"JOYinn is a wonderful place to stay for easy access to various sights on the Ito Peninsula! The husband and wife team who run the inn are extremely thoughtful, kind, and willing to help. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, and the laundry service was very convenient. This inn is well-geared toward international travelers and has parking for a rental car right out front. Highly recommend!"
