"We liked being in downtown Charleston and the hotel’s historic charm. The rooms were nice and the hotel offered early check in early which was great. I did not like having a rooftop bar 1/2 block away. We were able to sleep, however you could still hear the music from the 6th floor. I also would have liked for the hotel to have a pool or outdoor area. Regardless, if you’re wanting to stay in the downtown area, it’s a great option, very central and close to restaurants, stores and bars."

"We stay every year! The rooms are always fantastic, well equipped, and comfortable. We get a little annoyed with the overbearing security. They make beach access more difficult than it needs to be. We should be able to cut across the deck with chairs and coolers. The shuttle is inconsistent. I had to walk back because he was overwhelmed. The loading and unloading zone is too small for larger vehicles like full size pick up trucks. They need more luggage racks. They should also consider having a designated elevator with a bell hop that can do express runs for people with luggage carts. Not a good look that we had to wait 30 mins to get an elevator to get down and security is yelling at me for being in the loading zone too long This is me being extremely picky on the facility. I only offer this review as a way to improve on a fantastic experience year after year. I hope to buy a unit in tge near future."

"I enjoyed my first experience at an Omni hotel. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. However, I was disappointed over the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. In addition there weren't any places to hang items in the bathroom. I also thought the hallway corridor lacked sufficient lighting. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Ryder Hotel! The location is fantastic and perfect for exploring Charleston, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were also great and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. That said, our room was very small, and being located directly next to the elevator made it a bit less comfortable than we would have liked. Overall, though, the great location, friendly service, and amenities made for a nice stay."
