"This was my first trip to Taiwan and I’d highly recommend the Shangri-La hotel. All staff speaks English and are very high-service oriented. For example, there weren’t any microwaves available in the rooms, so housekeeping offered to reheat our leftovers from a restaurant and served it to us beautifully plated. The hotel is situated next to the local train station so it’s convenient to get to via public transportation. There’s also a big mall next door with great restaurants as well as good quality fast food restaurants, bakeries that serve coffee & espresso drinks. There’s a bridge over the train tracks so you can easily walk across to the central district of Tainan which is way more busy & congested. There was a slight problem with our original room, they were so concerned and fixed the problem immediately. "

Rooms were on the small side but it’s fully stocked with shampoo, conditioners, body wash and lotion..if you’re here for a few days. It’s a good place to stay! Closed to restaurants and some attractions."
