The hotel is literally a short walking distance to Taichung railway station and bus interchange as well as Miyahara. Super convenient to take bus to Yizhong and Fengjia night market. We travel around Taichung via public transport. It was also hassle free after we check out and take train to high speed rail station when we travel back to Taipei. Will choose to stay in Norway forest again.

The hotel have a nice play area for children. Very good for the kids to keep themselves entertained. The rooms are also nice and colourful suitable for family. I'll be back again next time.

Quirky , clean and cheap

booked this hotel last min on my way to Taichung from the HSR train and it really was a fun little place. It had a quirky design like a lot of hotels in Taiwan if you don't mind that. The staff was very helpful and friendly! the Room was a nice size for 2 people, the bathroom was more for 1 person at a time, but the shower was really nice pressure and the Price was great ! the ONLY problem for me was the pillows being too firm. thats all! and i travel and stay in hotels all over the world. So if you just want a clean place to sleep then its here. also the train station is outside the door if you are taking that. and the HSR station is about a $250 NT taxi ride away.

The hotel is right across Taichung Railroad station (which is NOT the MRT) and has a lot of dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel is a small property but it has quite some activities, especially for the kids. Beware that there are always a big crowds outside of the front door of the hotel after dark. The condition and the size of the room was good enough for a short stay. Their check-in time is late perhaps because they only have one small elevator and they couldn't have too many cleaning crews working at the same time. The breakfast quality was alright, but you could see their thoughtfulness when they tried to provide different items on the two consecutive days I went. Overall it is a pleasant stay, considering the low price.

NOT recommended for business travelers

It’s a hotel right next to the Taichung Train Station. But don’t expect much. The lobby is congested. There is only one rather small elevator for all 11 floors and it runs super slow. I ended up rather just taking the stairs to get to my room on the 7th floor. If you travel for business or expect to do online meetings, I would not recommend as the internal connection is probably the slowest I have experienced in dozens of hotels I stayed in 10+ counties including quite a few in Taichung. On the day of checking out, I was trying to download and upload a few documents before the check out time at 11 am. The internet worked so slow that it took forever to download/upload a few documents of about 10MB each. Normally it should take no more than a few minutes… but it ran for 15+ mins and still running … yet at the same time, the front desk kept on calling you to check out … even it was just hit the check out time at 11 am. I were all ready to go down stairs to check out if I was not held up waiting for slow internet. This will be on the very bottom of my list when I travel to Taichung next time. There is another hotel, Hotel 53, I stay during my last trip, just about a few mins walk away is many times better.

Hotel can easily be spotted from the Taichung station; about 5 min walk away. Bus terminal and a few convenience stores are also nearby. Staff are friendly and quite helpful.

Check in was a breeze. Staff are polite. Room is exactly as shown in photos. Surprised that there is sound system in the room, great when watching movies. Room is small but comfortable. Bath tub is great, kids loved it. Hotel has a small kids play area and has roof top access to see a good view of the station.

Very good locations. Right opp the train stations. Nearby has 7-11, watson etc.. Room is clean and cozy. The playground is siitable for kids below 7yrs. Buffet breakfast is decent.

The front desk staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel has indoor playground for kids, interesting slides from L1 to B1, nursing room and toddler play area at B1. We booked a Family Quadruple Room for 3adults and 2kids below 3. Baby cot was provided. Location wise, it was opposite Taichung railway and near to mall and Taichung 2nd market

serves more credit! Fantastic location with great

The hotel has its name changed to Norway Forest Travel Hotel 1 Taichung. Very obvious that the hotel is new despite changing hand, and in great condition. The family and kid friendly theme with paintings of Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz are woven in throughout the hotel seamlessly, at the lift landings and in the ceilings above the beds in the guest room. What deserves most credit is the amazing bathroom with separated bath and toilet. Bath comes with two shower heads- one for a shower and the other for the French bath tub. Excellent service from all staff and overall, a fantastic stay. Fantastic location just across from Taichung Station and well located near shops, eateries and within walking distance to 2 Malls. Definitely the best hotel of my trip to Taiwan this year!

Quite cool. But the tap is a little too high. And splashes too much. There is also only 1 drainage outlet and no raised area for shower zone, hence the entire bathroom gets wet during showers. However, on the overall still a nice place to stay at, and highly accessible, will recommend, thank you!

The room facilities have been updated and are clean and clean. However, it is best if the toilet is equipped with a washlet if possible. The location of the hotel is very close to the light-rail station, so access is convenient.

First of all, the location of the hotel immediately across the street from the train station is incredibly convenient. (By the way, in two trips to the Taichung Station from which I have walked to my hotel, Google Maps always attempts to walk me out the back of the station and the very long way around the block! Don't do that! The station has a very prominent front entrance, which points you directly at the Blues Hotel.) When I arrived after a late train, but with plenty of work to do, the staff immediately offered me a coffee, which I accepted. But, since my hands were full, the front desk employee literally walked me to my room on the fifth floor holding the coffee, pushing the elevator button, and unlocking the door with the key card. The decor in the hotel is fun, if a bit kitschy. The hotel still appears very newly renovated. The room itself is cozy — about the size you should expect in an urban setting. The bed is comfortable and clean. The desk space is adequate, and complete with a nice single-serve coffee maker and a water kettle. Lighting is very nice, with well-located and marked switches. The bathroom is small but well-appointed. There is no closet, just a hanger rack, which is fine with me. It would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board. Breakfast is in an airy and spacious dining area on the second floor. Food is on par with other hotel breakfasts I've had in Taiwan.

　駅のすぐ前です。近くにはバス停もあり、交通はこれ以上望めないほどです。　部屋は広くて、きれいです。シャワーもトイレも清潔です。テーブルの上には数種類のお茶やコーヒー、スナックが置いてありました。窓がありませんが、苦になりませんでした。　朝ごはんは基本的に中華系のおかずですが、パンやサラダなどもありました。おいしかったです。なお、ロビーは狭いのですが、コーヒーが置いてあって自由に飲めます。　とにかく便利で安くて清潔なので、台中に来る時はまた利用します。

子ども(4才)が、ホテル内の遊具をとても気に入っていた。一階と地下一階をぶち抜いた滑り台・ボールプールで、ずっと遊んでいた。台鉄の台中駅前。建物の外観が特殊なので見つけやすい。駅から見える。入り口が狭く、フロントの雰囲気が暗く(デザイン)、カードキーがボロいし、廊下は黄色いし、最初は不安だったが、部屋の中はとてもきれいで良かった。照明は不思議だったが、風呂とトイレが分かれていて、浴槽が広い。朝食は微妙だった。

The size of room is plenty, quite clean but quite an old building. The bathroom is a bit small, there is no space in the shower area to put your own things
