"The apartment is nicer than the photos. It is spacious with nice rooms and a combined living-kitchen. It was clean with nice towels provided. The location is perfect in a quiet street in the part of ortigia close to the parking spots on the mainland. There are a couple of great restaurants in the street. "Great property in the heart of town! Would recommend to family and friends. We did have trouble getting in and couldn't contact the owners but after some time managed to get in (the issue was an internet issue making it difficult for us to log on to get the code for keys). "We feel deeply deceived. This was not a vacation, but a physically and mentally exhausting ordeal. The apartment was in shocking disrepair and completely unfit for rest. A deafening water pump next to the bedrooms activated every 5–10 minutes, making sleep impossible. We were forced to nap during the day to recover.
