The location is excellent. A dining mecca. Every type of cuisine is available in the vicinity. Convenient to the light rail system. I never felt unsafe in the area. My room was tight. No in hotel amenities. No restaurant or bar, gym or pool, but you have the chains for that. Not the most expensive option either.

Great spot for food and music
Beds seem small (length wise, feet hanging over the bed). Also poor communication regarding parking (lack there of and extremely expensive).
The Urban Newtown
Is perfect place to stay, in the centre of Newtown
Transport to city, airport is very accessible also safe paid parking on site as well. Walk able distance to music venues and great restaurants and bars, everywhere, Rooms are basic, very clean and comfortable bed.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We love the closeness to music venues such as The Enmore Theatre and The Factory. Lots of great eateries close by and parking in the building was great.
Room overall was a great size and it was nice to have the kitchen area. Great price as well and in an area that's walkable to anything you'd need. The bathroom has absolutely no counter space - it's just a sink without any surfaces to put a cosmetics bag or anything in the bathroom itself. I took other reviewers' advice and was able to get a room away from the elevator but you can still hear folks cleaning the hallway first thing in the morning. The room wasn't very sound proof so if you're sensitive to sound or a light sleeper, this might not be the spot for you.
Close to nightlife attractions and transportation. Clean and has family friendly accommodation at a reasonable price. Would stay at the property again.

I’m on crutches recovering from recent surgery. The staff were so helpful with everything from car parking to room location. Also LOVED the hotel. Wonderfully renovated, charming, kitschy, well appointed. Can’t speak highly enough. A very happy find. Will definitely stay again.
Great place in convenient location - and complimentary drink on arrival.

Convenient and great location
Fantastic location in the busy area of Enmore where the restaurant section is excellent. the hotel is quite funky and interesting. Our room was quite small as was the bed but it suited our needs.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was ok. There seems to be some emergency housing next door. There was very, very loud shouting , screaming and singing from someone in the street . It went from 1am to 4.30 am when the police came. She proceeded to shout and swear at the police for ages more.
On the positive side, it was relatively cheap and close to my destination, it fulfilled my needs, the staff were friendly and efficient. Negatives, parking is near impossible, the area is very tired, dirty and busy, just what i expected from the city (i live 6 hours away, thank god!).
Room absolutely stunk, revolting odour, asked reception to help nothing was done. Barely slept due to this.
On arrival reception scanned my ID and saved to their files. Not cool. Could not provide a cyber security policy. I’ve stayed in hotels the past month and no one else has scanned and saved. Super dodgy.
Advise to stay away.
The property is close to affordable cafes, transport and amenities. Parking is a problem as is traffic noise. I raised a safety issue with reception that was not attended to. The window winder handle on the hopper window was loose and came off the wind-out mechanism. This handle could have come off and fallen four floors to the pavement below severely injuring a pedestrian. No action was taken during our stay.
