The door to our bathroom couldn’t be opened or closed without getting stuck, we had to lift the door and use our bodies to push it. The shower drain was clogged and so the water would pool at the bottom and spill out of the shower. We had slept in late (only till 10) when the room cleaners came around and let themselves into the room without warning. There was zero parking so we had to risk getting a fine, luckily we didn’t. There was no mattress cover, just a sheet, the quilt was sandwiched by two sheets, no quilt cover. Other than that the place was quite nice as well as staff. Not worth the price though unfortunately.

This property is clean and seems recently renovated. Its also spacious compared to some other hotels. They have a basic breakfast and coffee tea milk available which is a bonus. I will stay again.

The Crown Hotel is a great place to stay. Walking distance to Moore Park/SCG/Accor stadium. The rooms are well appointed with mini fridge and comfy bed. The communal kitchen was a lovely addition, where you can make complimentary tea and coffee. Even though located on a busy road, the rooms are remarkable sound proof and we had no trouble sleeping. Would stay there again!

Terrible room I was given. On top of all, I forgot my pijama silk blouse on the bed and housekeeping took it for themselves and told me they “didn’t find anything” to give back to me. Do not recommend, use your money elsewhere.

Crown Hotel Surry Hills NSW stay
Warmly welcomed and allowed early check in. Room comfortable and clean, but a sprinker wasn't properly installed in ceiling. Room was off terrace, only one other room had access. Could use kitchen 24/7. Breakfast included- fresh croissants and pastries on first morning, but not the next morning which was disappointing. Cereal, yoghurt, juices, coffee, tea, chocolate and milk available. No bread even though there was a toaster. Above a pub with pokies and sports bar, but could not hear any noise. Location was great and restaurants abundant.

Honestly was a great place to say and was surprised at how modern and comfortable the room was. The service from the manager was fantastic. I think his name is Mitchell or Michael. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to anyone I know.

The staff were so great that it really wouldn't have mattered what the accommodation was like - we wouldn't have noticed. As it was, the accommodation as great! The location was ideal.

We were very suprised with the hotel and the room, as it was in the Surry Hills area which is full of heritage buildings. The room was fabulous and the breakfast facilities were first class. We dealt with Star and she was just that a Star. She is definately in the right job, her customer service skills were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Very bubbly person for sure a people person.

Staff (Star) was awesome, The shared kitchen between 8 rooms was really convenient, fresh fruit, milk, pastries etc each day. Parking is a little tricky (but you only need to park a block away and it’s free during weekend). It’s so close to the city and it’s a buzzing location at night. Highly recommend! Thanks!

I liked the shared kitchen and the room was very clean. Staff were lovely. Got back to the room late and had an early start so was looking forward to sleep. Unfortunately constant sound of water dripping/leaking from either the mini bar fridge or a pipe made sleep difficult. To be fair we didn't report to hotel staff due to late hour and I'm sure if we had they would have taken action to resolve.Only other gripe was bathroom lighting ultra dim which made getting ready for a formal function difficult. Could be easily resolved by mounting a small backlit makeup mirror next to the vanity. makeup mirror

The manager, Shawn, was very helpful and welcoming. The street next to the hotel had many interesting restaurants and stores. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Street level was a pub so had to take elevator to 2nd floor for reception.

We were misinformed about free transportation from the airport. I assume it was because of the filters used when picking this property. Nice rooms and a good place to walk around the area. Unfortunately the internet and the air conditioner didn’t work.

My stay was ok except that my bag got pilfered and itemsand personal valuables were missing once i got back and am pretty suree these were stolen at the premises during the time i was away for meetings. Will reccomend caution

Ashish, It is extremely unfortunate that some of your personal belongings went missing as you have stated. We have interviewed the Cleaning staff and viewed CCTV footage as the Door Log states that only yourself and the cleaners entered your room during your stay. The cleaners have strongly denied such behaviour and the CCTV does not show evidence of them in possession of anything out of the ordinary. We at the Crown pride ourselves on our honesty and integrity.

I stayed here many times. Rooms are clean,staff is friendly. I always feel like I’m home. Lots of places to eat and shop on the area. Will stay here again in the future.
