3 nights stay, very adequate for my needs, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Certainly the best hotel at this price, walking distance to restaurants, Oxford St, CBD, free wifi, even a balcony at this price point! Nil complaints.

Close to amenities. A bit derelict. In great need of reno. Staff pleasant and accomodating but rooms very tired. Threadbare carpet, water damaged walls all around skirting. Very reasonable price however. Would stay again because of price and convenience and better prepared of what to expect.

My stay at your hotel was horrible paint chipping of the walls no clock night light we booked a room for 3 people but only got one glass and two coffee cups and not enough coffees and sugar for the three of us and the deck was falling apart Not to mention the car park thee wasn't much room to get my new car in and coming out my front bumper hit the ground Over all the amount I paid I'm not happy at all

Best Location In Sydney!
We loved staying here! The cafe attached to the motel is sunny in the morning and makes delicious $5 bacon and egg sandwiches. The location is beautiful. The motel is very run down, but very clean, and keeps the price down!

Staff helpful. Place was clean. Close to the city. Lots of eateries nearby. Would be OK to stay overnight but we stayed for three. No laundry, ironing board, etc. No wardrobe. So it became too cramped.

Seedy Stay
Very poor hotel and of low standard. If you have stayed at the Ibis Budget at the airport this is much worse than that. While location was good there are no services (other than a café at the foot of the hotel which was the best part) and parking is extremely difficult. Location is "inner city" which means good access to hotels/bars/restaurants but otherwise "seedy". We initially thought it was "cheap" but you get what you pay for. Don't go there.

The dirtiest hotel I've been in
The room was not made up, wet towels and messy bed, toilet not flushed (!). Everything in the hotel is incredibly dirty, the banisters/light switches/walls are sticky. The entire hotel smelled damp and muggy. It wasn't cheap, but easily the worst hotel in Sydney that I've stayed at (I'm up every two weeks for work).

Bearable but only just
The room I was given had many problems, not sure whether it was only used because it was a busy weekend. The glass door in the room was smashed although still together. There were no curtains, blinds or window coverings of any kind although nobody looked directly into the room, luckily I get up before sunrise anyway. There was a hole in the bathroom door. There was no shower curtain and holes int he ceiling of the bathroom. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper and so bought my own as the office was closed when I realised. The air con had no remote so couldn't be used, not sure whether it even worked though. This meant I had to sleep with the glass door open because the room was too stuffy when the door was closed. I hoped that the balcony was unreachable but slept lightly so I could hear if someone was trying to get in through the door. It was cheap and I booked late so I didn't let it spoil my visit to Sydney but if you have a choice probably try to stay somewhere else.

Appalling
In Sydney for a conference, booked for 2 nights. When I arrived I was given a room key and some vague directions as to how to find it. Lugged my suitcase up a flight of stairs, no offer to help and no lift. As soon as I opened the door I could smell the mould. Stained carpet, cracked and broken tiles in the bathroom, one cupboard door hanging off in the bathroom. The air conditioner appeared to switch on but made no discernible difference to the temperature of the room. I had to sleep with the balcony door open wide all night to try and get rid of the smell. I checked out the next morning unable to face another night.

Decoration untidy.
The room was tidy but the decoration left a lot to be desired. One wall in the bathroom had a large area of peeling paint and the bedroom ceiling was painted in a very unsightly grey colour. The good point about the room was, although the hotel is on a busy main road, with pubs and night clubs nearby. There was very little noise throughout the night.

Pleasant stay, good price. GREAT location!
We arrived quite early in the morning (coming off a cruise ship), and by juggling some rooms the staff allowed us into our room immediately. Huge bonus for us - we were exhausted. The room swap also meant we had a much larger balcony, which was nice, and our room was on the lowest level - less stairs for us to negotiate with large roller cases.

Extremely run down. Very displeased.
Upon arrival, my key didn't fit the door lock so they had to try and find me another room. The room was very unpleasant. Dirty stains running down the walls. The furniture was like something found on a council clean up pile. The balcony door was corroded in a half open position, making it unable to be opened or closed. Air con didn't work. Very small shower and toilet combined, the shower curtain rail was hanging down loose from the wall and shower head had to be held up whilst showering. The reception/office was an absolute mess With half eaten food and rubbish laying around everywhere. Power extension Leads running along balcony door track, very unsafe. Quite noisy position with traffic and constant banging of doors etc from nearby rooms. The linen was clean. There were no glasses in the room for drinking water, I had to go and buy plastic cups from the local convenient store. The place needs major repairs.

Overpriced and not what we expected
Very overpriced for what it offered. The room was advertised with a view but it had no view. The wi-fi only works at the reception level so if you are staying at a higher level you'll have to use your own. The room was dirty and the bed was wobbly... The aircon was a plus but didn't make up for the rest of the room. Overall, it felt a bit like a private room at a backbackers, only charged more per night. The staff was friendly and helpful I think and the location of the hotel is good. Would recommended if you quickly need a room for the night and don't mind where you're staying.

The balcony sliding door didn't close properly or lock. The fan in the room was completely covered in thick dust. The taps fell off in the shower and the shower head didn't stay up. I didn't feel comfortable with only the chain on the main door as a lock.

Probably the worst hotel in Sydney
There was no shampoo or soap in the room, the TV remote was missing so I couldn't turn it on, the toilet cistern leaked so I had the sound of running water all night, the cold tap in the shower came off in my hand and when I complained (twice) the person at reception didn't seem to care.

I booked a Deluxe Double Room (Deluxe LOL) Firstly, on arrival into the sauna like, pungent room I was confronted with an air-conditioner however no remote. On questioning the front desk I was advised that the hotel was fully booked so no remote available, sorry. Therefore my night of supposed sleep before an important meeting the next morning was disrupted by the bugs and traffic noise from the door I had to leave open all night (no fly screen). The undeterminable smell never abated even with door open. I may not have been so bored lying awake all night if the TV offered some respite, however not only would the cracked screen have annoyed but the total lack of an antenna cable meant nothing was watchable. Oh and forget about the advertised free Wi-Fi, no password is provided. I could go on about the cracked concrete balcony above me, the shower curtain rail hanging by a thread, miscellaneous stains of unknown origin everywhere you look, but just do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.

The greeting on arrival was good and very helpful,$20 to secure car parking under the building was good as I had a lot of valuable stock in my car.The room I stayed smelt very musty from the carpet must of been wet recently and stained, the Tv I could not tune. I had a look myself and found Ariel had been knocked out of the wall fixed it myself good flat screen TV.The rooms are not 5 star by any means with a little TLC light fitting new carpet would also bring the value for money up for the location.The Irish pub 3 minutes walk advised by reception was great food and value for money as well.
