"We were only able to stay one night, but our night at the Vallombrosa vineyard was very peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and kind and were gracious to bring me some emergency supplies. "This is where you stay when you want a beautiful fairytale vacation, with amazing food and wine, birds singing, and tranquility. Every view from this place is stunning and the details put in to the interior design are incredible. The staff is so helpful which of course makes the experience that much better. "There is no elevator and our room was on the third floor. One of the staff brought our luggage upstairs however next day we had a train in the morning for Como. Staff outright said there will be no one in the morning until 9 or 10 am to help bring down luggage. There is no taxi available and she insisted we take the bus to train station which was about 9 km . It was very frustrating as we are senior citizens. After a lot of back and forth she agreed to arrange and she did. The taxi driver would bring luggage down and drop us to the train station. We were told to tip him for that gave him 20 dollars. Taxi was over 100 dollars If you are not young please do not stay at this hotel…. It’s very inconvenient."

"Staff were not friendly and we felt uncomfortable at check-in and asking questions during our 2 night stay. Buffet breakfast was good. We knew it was an Ibis budget hotel but there is no privacy for anyone in the room to go to the bathroom or shower. Barely enough room for carry-on sized luggage. I would not recommend for anyone travelling with full sized luggage."

"Beautiful hotel. Classic design. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were great. Our shower leaked and they moved us rooms without question. The included breakfast was quite good. The restaurant was spendy, but food was good and amazing view. They do offer a shuttle into Lugano, but it only runs every two hours. The staff were all very mind. Would rate overall experience 4/5 "

The staff are incredibly personable, warm, and friendly, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. If you’re looking for stunning scenery and genuine hospitality, this is the perfect place to stay!"
