"The cutest place ever but unfortunately just wasn’t clean. Food left in fridge , on ledge of bedroom window, bread crumbs under small dresser. Walls and doors lots of dirty handprints etc. Towels , the two we did have were all stained and looked like they had not been washed at all. Toothpaste on bathroom wall. Vents full of dirt!! Floors were clean!! Beds were clean and somewhat comfortable. Need thicker pillows. These are all suggestions to clean better because it is the cutest set up ever!! . Our stay otherwise was pleasant and quiet and I loved the location. Parking was awful but staff helped us kindly! Staff was very friendly and professional!! So again no complaints just suggestions to clean better or get others to helps so yall can have an awesome place for people like us who liked your little set up and worked out great for our little family with 2 kids!!! "Check in was very pleasant. Staff were very helpful! When we got to our room (in the “ historic section”) it was on the first floor. We found it convenient for access. Because it was in the historic section we could understand the age and some deteriorated parts of the facility and room. What upset me the most, for the price paid, were small things: 1. The lamps on the nightstand did not operate. 2. There was no remote for the TV to be found. 3. The shower curtain was a bit tattered. 4. There were ants in the bathroom. 5. There was no remote for the ceiling fan. To be fair, we were too tired to call these items in to the front desk. I am sure as helpful as the staff were they would all been addressed."

"The Hollander was conveniently located. It was a short walk to museums, the bay where you can stroll or sit and watch the boats and passerbys, and a bunch of restaurants and shops. We were glad to be off the main drag. Our room was poolside, It tended to be noisy where there was also a bar but was fine with windows closed. The bathroom was very small but useable. The Hollander dining area either inside or on the porch was convenient and reasonably priced."

"Wonderful little getaway. Location is great with free shuttle. Amenities are awesome as you can use the pool/gym right next door. Free parking. And the looper is close by for getting around downtown."

"The hotel room had a very damp odor. The smell woke me up at nights! I complained about it but was told it’s an old hotel and all the rooms smell the same. The water in the sink backed up on three separate days despite having engineering fix it twice. The first time they fixed it, they did not nail the board under the sink back into place and it fell on my 9 year old hand as she was retrieving a towel. Luckily she wasn’t hurt. Above the shower, looked like there is water leak that kept getting patched up and probably contributed to the smell of the room. When I pointed that out, the manager from house keeping just looked at me and nodded. Only once for the entire time we were there, house keeping accessed the room, removed the garbage and made up one of the two beds!!! The carpet had a huge permanent stain right under TV, you cannot avoid looking at it. Pros: the pool area was nice. The staff were friendly. Hotel was centrally located and walking distance to almost everything we wanted to do "
