"Second time we stayed here and we have no complaints "

"We stayed in this hotel for almost 2 weeks and would definitely come back. It's location is perfect, and while we didnt eat there every day, the restaurant makes for an easy breakfast or dinner if you're feeling too tired to go out. We had a small fridge and microwave, so we were able to make small meals there, as well. I'd argue that for the price and "boutique" experience, there were little touches that could have been improved (ie more items in the suite to use for such an extended stay, better and free coffees/teas, bottled water, etc). The hotel is old but renovated with well controlled individual room temperatures and mostly quiet (there was regularly staff chatting loudly outside our window at night, but we were right above a transitional staff door, and most rooms aren not). The rooms were cleaned anytime we wished, although it didnt seem like they vacuumed at all (this would be fine for a 2 or 3 day stay but considering out length, we likely should have pointed it out). The pool is nice to take a dip in but not super useful to "swim"in (i'm a swimmer so this mattered to me but likely wont to everyone else). Likewise the "gym" that was told to be brand new only has some dumbbells, one treadmill, and a cycling bike in it. I was expecting more, again, considering the boutique nature of the hotel and cost. These were minor details and overall we had a wonderful experience. The location, if nothing else, would be impossible to find or beat. "

"Clearly it was a grand hotel at some point but now it’s filled with cheap renovations, flaking particle board, and terrible beds. It was clean and extremely convenient so that makes it worth it. Will probably stay again. "

"You put your towels in a basket in the hall on the morning, but they don't give you back enough towels for both people in the room and they dont have any extra to give you. The caulking in the shower was molding or missing, you couldn't use the bathroom sonk because the faucet was hige and blocked the sink, the shower was almost inpossoble to use without virtually ripping and ounching the knob into the wall (it was so loose that you.literally pulled the wall and pushed into the wall to turn on and off). The air conditioner was dirty, but worked. Our first room had a dresser with a broken bottom, a missing bottom, and a knob pulled off. The cable didn't work, so they moved us to another room (smaller) that didnt even have a dresser."

"Checking was suppose to be at 3pm but a room was not ready until after 5. Waiting around with three kids was not ideal. Other guests were experiencing the same issues. The manager said he would discount the room and ended up double charging. Still have not received all of the refund two weeks later!! We chose this hotel because it showed a high rating but we felt scammed. Don’t be fooled. The lobby floors and rugs were dirty and the room was not much better. The showers were dirty and the room sofa bed was absolutely awful. There are also clubs outside and the bass music kept the kids up until past 2am. Definitely do not recommend. "

"Decent location downtown and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. Parking was an additional fee (which is typical in a city) and located down the street a few blocks at a sister property but wasnt too difficult as once we parked we walked everywhere until we checked out. The pipes made a very loud sound in the walls for several minutes when turning on the shower and the floors could have been cleaner but the bed was comfy and the room decor felt outdated but was in decent condition and clean. There is a coffee shop located in the lobby but not many other hotel amenities overall. It was fine for us for an overnight stay on a busy race weekend. Would stay here again for the price and location. "

"Worst hotel experience of my life. Nothing worked, including elevators and in-house phones; staff were friendly but seldom at the front desk or anywhere to be seen; the pool was under repair; there was no on-site food, drink, or even a working vending machine. Shower with a peeling privacy cover on the window. Clean sheets and a comfortable bed. On the third day, I had to have the room fumigated for bugs. Looks nice from the outside, and close to downtown. It was the only downtown hotel with vacacy or I would have moved. A rundown property pretending to be a historic hotel."

"Loved our stay. Front desk, valet and luggage porter were all very kind considering the Indycar craziness. Room was clean; the bed and and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We will happily stay here again"
