Warm, welcoming staff! Loved the happy hour from 5pm - 7pm. Great location to walk to Vinoy Park for the music festival we were attending! Wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well. Only downside was no refrigerator in room but we would definitely stay again and bring a cooler! Highly recommend this property!!!

What a joy it was to be able to stay here! The staff was welcoming and accommodating and just so nice to be around. The rooms were simple and cozy and very clean, the only downside being that the bed was a little harder than I like, but that is fully a preference, as my partner loved it, so do with that what you will

Stay here 2-3x per year. The most striking thing is the staff all seem to genuinely enjoy working there. i stay in the Annex next to the Avalon because it is quiet and i like the quirky vibe. Usually i leave the car parked and walk most places. The location is perfect for reaching the museums and galleries.

Room was small but clean. Small bath vanity made it difficult to use (no counter space). Mattress was extremely firm. Mostly the noise was the biggest issue for us. Room next door had kids crying and screaming and across the hall had a dog barking. Not sure what could be done to better muffle noise from other guests.

Cute place, clean and nice staff. The room was very dark without enough lighting. It was facing the street, so it was somewhat noisy from the street sounds. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well until street sounds woke me too early in the morning.

Room was ok for an older hotel. Fairly clean. Staff neither friendly or unfriendly - mediocre. The Air conditioner was too loud and ran non-stop all night. Could not figure out how to change to auto mode. Bathroom tub/shower could use grab bars to assist older guests. Tub was a bit slippery despite raised dots in the tub. Had to be extra cautious. Would have preferred a walk-in shower. Was not allowed to check in before 3 pm and had to be at the Mahaffey Theater at 2 pm so couldn't check in until after 5 pm. Parking lot was almost full. Had to drive all the way to the back and around corner to find a spot on dirt road. Only amenities available at time of check in was free liquor, which was not appealing as a non-drinker of alcohol. If I return to St. Petersburg for an overnight visit, I will probably choose to stay at another hotel. Quaint but not "my cup of tea".

I love staying here. The rooms are small but comfortable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the parking is free, and the location is very convenient for jumping on the Looper and getting around town. The afternoon social on the porch is a great way to meet people and share experiences. I always enjoy coming back.

What a lovely little stay! Great location, can walk to a lot of local bars/eateries nearby. There is a free shuttle service that’ll take you anywhere within 10 blocks of the hotel, and they’ll pick you up too! Steve, the shuttle driver was so kind and gave us great recommendations on what is around town. Our room was clean and very comfy. We will absolutely be coming back to stay.
