the only complaint i had was they must have just revarnished the doors. the smell of the stain was so strong and when you touched the door it was sticky/tacky. it clearly wasnt done drying.

We stayed here this past long weekend for an ice fishing vacation. 2 adults/2 children. The room was clean with plenty of towels and we set dirty out in hall and were promptly given a fresh bag of towels, washclothes and hand towels. Checking in was very easy with Bobbie. She was super friendly and even let us stay in the lobby to watch the Superbowl and have our party when the breakfast area TV had no sound. We had 3 rooms of guests wanting to watch together. She was not put out at all that we had taken over the lobby. Room was clean, fridge was working, nice size tv. Bed linens were clean. Downside: the beds were loud between the springs and the metal frame they were sitting on made for a loud night of sleep. Pillows were nice. Breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs, sausage and ham, cereal choices, juice/coffee, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, pasteries, waffles, toast. Pool area was nice and clean as was hot tub. Water was good and hot. Checkout was a breeze. Only bad mark was Monday last day when we showered before checkout, we had no hot water all of a sudden. Made for a cold start to our day. Otherwise, no complaints. Had a great time! Hotel is close to fast food, Walmart, restaurants, and gas stations.

After booking with Expedia I was double billed on my card, called the motel twice to be refunded on my double charged card and still haven’t been credited on my card. It is the motels mistake and it’s still not refunded, extremely frustrating and disappointing

Disgusting Overpriced Cockroach Hotel!
This aside from the front desk girls was a nightmare experience. From the moment I got there expecting somewhere I could get a drink only to find out all of the garbage vending machines were broken, seriously people are paying 100 bucks a night and you cant have working vending machines? I went straight to bed never turned the lights on but when I did staring me (A blonde) in the face was this patch of black pubic hair inches from my face. I chose to take a bath and on the wall was a safety handle for disabled people so I grabbed it to help me get out of the tub and it came off in my hand!!!! Sending me crashing to the tub..luckily I wasn't hurt! The final nail in the coffin was the free "breakfast" even though I wouldn't feed this "food" to a dog! From the weird do it yourself waffle bar from a dispenser to the "scrambled eggs" that are some weird hard microwave monstrosity. Add in the unrefrigerated milk for your cereal dispensers and dried out...toast? Toast that you put into a toaster that doesn't pop and rotten fruit..what did I pay all that money for???

Our sink was not clean, mens whisker hair all over- rinsed the sink out, did not notice it was all over the counter til I set the bar of soap done and hair stuck to it all over. Other than that the room was fine.

I don’t usually do this, but this place was overpriced for the condition. We were booked to stay here for 2 nights and ended up leaving early, not using the second night. Very disappointed about the quality of the room, cleanliness, and overall comfort of the room. The doorframes were completed rusted at the bottom, ew, and the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed. They offered no room service either. I should have requested a refund for the second night.

Horrible experience
Terrible experience. They are a dog friendly hotel but the front of the premises is all rocks and bo grass. You have to go to the opposite ends of the buildings to get to grass. It was raining during our stay and my dog hates the rain so it was really inconvenient. My husband and I had a horrible experience with the beds being way to hard, might as well have slept on the floor. I have a bad back so this was not good for me. I went to the front desk three times and no one was at the desk, besides when I checked in. I found a card for the manager so I gave the number a call to see how to fix the bed situation and I was given no options besides getting extra of the felt blankets they use which also have no cushion. They had no remorse for my not being able to sleep or the fact that we were uncomfortable, they said these are the hotels beds what do you want me to do about it. There should be options for people. The breakfast was pitiful and there were fruit flies everywhere. Tried to get some juice and there were three floating in it.

Convenient location for what we needed
This was in a convenient location since we wanted to try the Nightengale supper club which was right down the road from hotel. We were traveling with dogs and are very grateful for hotels that are dog friendly. We had two rooms. one for us and one for our adult daughters. One room was in decent shape but the other was missing all the art work so the room seemed possibly in a transition? I think the whole hotel could use a refresh but it served its purpose. Front desk check in was very nice.

Weekend Getaway
Don’t judge the book by the cover. The exterior isn’t in the best shape, but the interior was well kept. The breakfast was more than some higher priced places in the area and the service was on top of it. Did not have to wait for the product to go empty before they replenished. Easy access to all Door County locations.

Nothing exceptional to make hotel stand out for over $200 a night. Rooms were clean, in good condition and quiet. More hot items for breakfast would have been nice, without waiting in line for a waffle maker, diced ham? And scrabbled eggs. Suggestion oatmeal with different topping died cranberries, granola, banana chips, nuts, etc..

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was not nearly as nice as it is now. Great location. Great accommodating staff. Clean, comfortable hotel in the middle of Sturgeon Bay with plenty of parking. Loved it.
