「Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...

「Check-in staff was welcoming and professional. The place was clean. However, I would definitely not rate this resort anymore as luxury for these reasons - no attention to detail such as lack of maintenance in hotel and surrounding (broken bathroom doors, screens not fitting in windows properly, deck glass was moldy and rundown so didn't sit outside, children's play area was not safe and equipment not all put together, room was outdated and old with mismatched material for headboard and chairs,...

「The room was very worn, but the worst was the shower, which was essentially unusable due to stains of an unknown origin. Through no fault of the owners, the city as a whole is not a safe place to visit, particularly in the area where the property is located. We had someone clearly under the influence of some sort of substance repeatedly try to enter our room, and would not leave until police were involved.
