Hiking is excellent at Stone Mountain...you will lose cell service once you get there, so store info...I used my phone compass to find my way SW to Grandfather Mountain which is about an hour and a half away....also excellent.

The restaurant was pretty good, but our waitress kept insisting that the Mississippi River flows through North Dakota. We tried to let her know it does not go through or even close to ND, but was met with, "I know it does because I've driven to Utah! Are they even teaching geography in high school any more?? We left with her still believing she was correct and we decided to pick our battles. LOLOL
