"Hotel was convenient to both Hwy281 and Loop1604 on San Antonio's North Side. Our room was spacious, confortable, and had great temperature control. We we both astounded that the bath had no face cloths or hand towels--which I secured from one of the room cleaners who apologized for one of the hotel's washers being broken. Surprising as well was the overhead makeup fixture which was either inoperable or needed bulbs. As mentioned in check-in review--I personally tightened the toilet seat that appeared to have been replaced, but never secured properly--certainly a first for this traveler! The last and strangest surprise was that housekeeping either did not have access to king size sheets or attempted to make our bed by attempting to fit the mattress in the wrong direction? In any event, we would not return to this hotel--too many small missteps that indicate a systemic issue that hopefully is limited to this location and not the brand--no axe to grind, just being as honest as possible."

"This is an older hotel with a clean outdoor pool and a hot tub open until 10p. It’s conveniently located next to a plethora of restaurants and shopping. Rooms are well apportioned and have 2 large flatscreen TVs. What I wish I knew from reviews before our stay. Fair warning, hotel has an underlying old smell. Our first room (#212) had strong smell of mold. We tried to accept it but after 5 minutes couldn’t do it. Reported it, they didn’t push back and changed us to room #110. AC struggled to cool and around 10p started smelling marijuana, my son fell asleep, tried ignoring it until 11p or so when the smell had literally engulfed our room. I was concerned hotel may think it was coming from our room, had to report it. Got dressed reported to front desk and brought attendant into our room, we clearly could see it was coming from bathroom vents. Went to sleep in warm smelly room, woke up sweating in a warm smelly room. Requested diff room, moved us to #224, which we just had to make the best of. Still didn’t get as cool as we wanted but was acceptable and better than mold and marijuana room! The most unsettling part was the “notice to guest” which the hotel owner required as mandatory to initials to get checked in and get room key. See photos of what this hotel makes guest sign off on. Frankly inappropriate and unacceptable. The staff were nice enough but we will not ever be staying here again! "

"The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, there were several areas that could use improvement. The restroom was a bit dirty, and the shower appeared to need a deep cleaning. There were no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash amenities provided during my stay. The bathroom floor tile was extremely slippery, which could be a safety concern. The beds were quite hard and not very comfortable. Breakfast was okay, but the selection and quality could be better. Overall, the staff made a positive impression, but the cleanliness, comfort, and amenities need attention."
