"Peaceful location. From the moment we arrived the hostess, Jo, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was clean with good facilities and refreshments. The property is conveniently located for visiting Alton Towers (less than a 10min drive). Would strongly recommend a stay at The Beehive Guest House if visiting the area."

"Great little find, cheap and easy to access. Stayed here for 1 night while working and visiting family. Arrived late and Kevin texted me the details regarding self check-in. Clean, comfortable and the coffee is greatly appreciated. Only downside is the bathroom being so far away but considering I was there less than 12 hours I can't really argue. "Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar."

"Compared to the first place I stayed this apartment was for free as a mistake on behalf of ur company which I appreciate but considering the quality of the first one this was a disappointing replacement. "

"Check-in was at 3pm. No details regarding check-in were sent prior to the check-in. I called many times seeking information but was told that the information would be provided to me at 3pm however no details were sent. @4pm l was still chasing for the details. At around 4:30pm thats when they decided to tell me that the place wasn't ready and the cleaners hadn't been around to clean. "Unable to be checked-in anytime after 4 p.m. when I arrived there. And also told by others who live there (not the owner) that my room will not have an en-suite bathroom either. "

"At first entry the property absolutely reaked of stale spices, I assumed somebody had just cooked but the smell remained until I left. My room at the front of the house was fine. A little bit dirty in places. The real nightmare was the bathroom. After walking through the kitchen which was dirty, full of dirty dishes, unswept/mopped for weeks and lacking supplies, I found 2 full binbags inside by the back door and then went to the bathroom. "I flew into Birmingham with no information about checking into this property, after numerous phone calls that just went through to a receptionist who could not get a hold of the property owner I received a "confirmation email", in this email it stated a completely different property. "Nice property…nature abounds but you need your own transportation.No restaurant inside but you can order for delivery at nearby restaurant for dinner..need to plan for breakfast.awesome kitchen…with washer and dishwasher.Heated pool and with hot tub and sauna…Pleasant staff as well & responsive to needs.Phone in Badger9 is not working…staff made aware."

"We was meant to stay here I booked a room with double & 2 singles, when I got the confirmation it stated 1 double 1 sofa bed the property made the mistake, after calling hotels.com to try to resolve I got nowhere, so I had no choice but to book another property. After booking another property I then get a call from this property saying they made a mistake. Hotels.com wouldn’t refund me. So I asked the property to refund me which was short by £20 odd pounds. So overall not a good experience "
